MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Well I hope everyone had a merry Christmas! Thank you for all the packages! I felt so loved :) Christmas was so much fun here! I got fed way too much...You will hear about that later in the email..and if i remember you will be able to see it! haha :)

Monday: We went shopping after emailing and Sister Pielstick was calling a member while I was driving. She got confused and said, "Please bless" in the message! It was so funny!! I just about died! Then while we were at Walmart a man came up to us and said, "Here is for your purchase today." and he gave us $20 I  couldn't believe it! It was so nice! I have never had that happen to me before!

Tuesday: Sister Pielstick and I did a training and I feel that it went well. We talked about how the  Book of Mormon and Revelation are both important to be able to teach. Also we talked about obedience and how we must be exactly obedient in order to receive revelation. It was great. Then after DDM We stayed for a few minutes and took a few funny pictures and ate some snacks :) So good! Then we practiced singing for caroling for Christmas night. That night we went around and tried a few people, but nothing really solid...we had dinner with Sister Jordan. She always buys us pizza and gives us 3 slices! I can't eat that much and bread sticks and she wanted to make cookies with us....So we told her that we would only eat one piece...plus Sister Pielstick wasn't feeling well...so we ate and then we had to go home....yeah..... :(

Wednesday: We had a Christmas party with the missionaries! It was so much fun! We ate food and watched all of the pictures that missionaries sent in. It was fun! Sister Pielstick stayed home...and then we got all of our packages!! I got Seven! SO much fun! Then we came home studied and then went out with a member :) We taught this really cute family and I can't wait to teach them even more!

Thursday: Christmas EVE!!! We had breakfast with some members and they also gave us cute little gifts. It was so great! Then we had lunch with the Scherlocky family while another sister missionary skyped home. We also got to help another member with cleaning her house for Santa, so that was fun! She gave us a lot of cloths too! Then we had dinner with the Stegeman family and they are the best! After That we got all of the missionaries together and watched the best two years! Best part about coming home is that we pulled all of our matrices out and we all slept on the floor :) It was so much fun! We stayed there for the rest of the transfer!

Friday: We woke up at 6 opened presents and then we went to a members house! Their children waited for us to open their gifts! It was so great! Sister Pielstick emailed her family there. It was so much fun! The members cat kept trying to eat my pancakes...Sister Pielstick's family thought that was pretty funny to watch me fight off the cat....it was really dumb...Then we came home took a nap (shhh) then we studied a little and then had lunch! It was so much fun! Seriously too much fun on the mission! We ate with Sister Gass and a couple other old people! It was soooooo good! Then we came home studied some more...then went to dinner and that is where I skyped my family! :) That was so great! I felt bad though because after I was finished with the call the member came out crying and said I can never do that again! She felt really sad as I was talking to my family because I was crying! I felt so bad!  ;( It was really a happy cry! But any who we then went Caroling for the rest of the night and that was awesome! We went to a less active members house and they cried and said, "we will be back to church next Sunday!" But they didn't come :(  oh well it was really powerful!

Saturday: We got transfer calls! I am staying in MT View! :D We are moving to different apartments though so that is stressful! So on this day we really just planned, walked, and tried potentials.

Sunday: We had this really awesome investigator come to church and yeah it was great. We had to pack that night because we are moving to new apartments! crazy over here, but I love you so much!!! You're the best!!

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes :)

I love you all so much! Yesterday was so great! We got a lot of cake...and candy...I might explode like a pinata! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PORTER!!

Okay are you ready for this :) a lot happened this week! Also If you want a Cali T-shirt send me your shirt size so that everyone can be wearing a Cali-t-shirt at the air port because that would be so amazing!!

Monday: We tried to go caroling with our bishops wife to a few people she visits, but no one was home :( But That's okay :) We have a lot of fun with her! She is great! Then we went to the Stegeman's and ate cake for Sister Pielstick's birthday :)  We are one week and three years a part or something like that haha :)

Tuesday: After we had DDM We had to run to another appointment with a woman named Suzette. As we were driving over there.. we saw her walking to the store....kinda a buzz kill but that's okay :) We were actually able to have a lunch so that was nice! Then we got on our bikes and were contacting potential investigator and while we were riding we scared this older guy with sparkly pink sun glasses. As we road past he asked Sister Pielstick, "Will you marry me?" She then said, "uh no sorry!" and we biked off. It was so funny!! While we were trying potentials we taught this man named Joshua. We have tried them so many times before that we just put them to the side, but then the spirit said go try again. SO we did :) and now he is going to learn more and he wants to find out the truth! He told us, "whenever you come over our house feels so calm. Even when you dont come inside, I still feel this calmness." We asked him if he wanted that feeling all the time, and we could help him with that! It was amazing!! Then we taught a cute couple that are 7th day Adventists. They really wanted to learn more because the wife's brother was just baptized into our church. They were so sweet! We then got a ride from a member to another lesson. The member couldn't stay with us because they had something going on. So they dropped us off and we went to the gate so that the people we were teaching could let us in. But in that moment they canceled...it was dark, and the member left already. So we waked to another members house that was close by. It was cold and so on the way over we were praying Please have hot chocolate! We went and knocked on the door they let us in and...gave us hot chocolate! It was amazing! Then we had dinner with a part member family and we had a blast!

Wednesday: We had a miracle!! So many this week! We had a member planning on coming out with us, but then she bailed last min! If we dont have a team up we have to go home...and it sucks!!!  But a lovely daughter of God was able to come out with us! We found two new people to teach and it was amazing!

Thursday: We didn't die! We road our bikes on a fast road with no sidewalk...yeah it was dumb....but now we know a safer way :) and we found a new part of our area that we hadn't talked to before! Also we ran into some people that at first were very very...not interested...but then I started talking to them about 4-wheelers and hunting and we were able to leave on a good note :) and they took our card :) It was fun! Then we went and had dinner...they picked us up and dropped us off somewhere for dinner. They payed for the food and stuff, but we had to walk to another appointment. I was so glad that I chose to ware my bigger jacket! Then we had the best lesson ever!! We taught Anthony and he had so many questions about adam and eve. We can't wait to go back!!!

Friday: I have felt a little off all week...and today a member kinda picked up on it. She gave me the biggest hug, and I almost started to cry. While we were on bike I just broke down and cried to my Heavenly Father and asked what I was doing wrong. I wasn't braking any rules, I was trying my best, and I wasn't being lazy! All day I thought about this all day! I realized that I needed to rely more on my Father in Heaven to guide me. I know that through Him all of our burdens will be lifted. We just have to sit back and remember that He is our Father, He loves us and wants us to be happy. it is only through Him that we can be happy. I am so grateful for my Savior and the power of prayer!
We were able to meet with a less active family that really needs our help! I love them, but one of the little girls cries whenever she thinks about Jesus' birth. She said, "He died so it makes me sad" We are going to go over and show their family the Joy in the Savior's life!

Saturday; We had a pizza box lunch thing it was so good! So much pizza!!! then we had dinner with the Sii's and he makes the best food ever! Everyone bailed on us/didn't answer the door/got antied...kinda lame...oh well :) Sii food made it better!!

Sunday: Was my birthday, but it didn't feel any different! A lot of members from our ward gave us candy and a cake! It was so fun! We had a young woman take us out and she had so much fun! She wants to come back out with us again soon!

Monday: Today we went bowling! I am so bad at bowling..that college class didn't help at all! haha :) I had fun thought! I can't wait for next week because I get to skype home and it's Christmas!!! I am so excited! I love you all!!!

Let me know in the next couple weeks if and what sizes you want for t-shirts :) dont feel bad about the money part! Love you !!

One Trying Week

This week has been one of the hardest on my mission so far. I am excited to see the calm after the storm :)

Monday: I made a ginger bread house!! It was so much fun!!! I loved it :) Then we ate dinner and tried a few people, but no answers :) all is well :)

Tuesday: We had interviews with President Mullen and after the interview Sister Pielstick and I talked about what we have learned and we found out...we had just about the same interview! We asked him the same questions and got the same answer! It explains that why President Mullen laughed after I asked the question. Haha :) We are so much a like, but so different! We then went out walking and I just did not feel good...darn cold crap! We were talking with this one guy and he said, "I like to read people for example you (meaning me, sister moore) Want to leave because your feet are pointed away from me." This is why you don't go out when you are sick. Because you give people the wrong Idea! I wanted to sit and talk to him, but my body was yelling at me GO HOME!!! So that is what we did. We road our bikes to a members house. Sister Stegeman is a nurse so she gave me some really good drugs and man I was out! I had to stay in the next day....

Wednesday: I slept all morning...and hung out with Sister Mcguire (another sister that lives with us) and I slept while she made phone calls. Then we had a lesson that night so I got baby sat by sister Stegeman. :) I slept on the couch and I was in my pjs....it was weird, but my body was not going to let me get dressed just to sleep.....haha so it was a pretty good day.

Thursday: We got blessings in the morning from the elders because We are sick of being sick!! and then we went to the doctor for sister pielstick and all is well with her :) She is back to 100% and we are going to kill it this week! But because of the doctors visit and planning...we didnt have much time for anything else. We did go see a less active member that is having to get kicked out of her apartment! She has 3 kids and really is struggling! We prayed with her and then went out to dinner with a member :) It was so great!

Friday: So this day was really interesting...We went to go help the member that was moving and then we had a crazy miracle!! We got on our bikes and prayed for safety and we also asked Heavenly Father to please bless us so that we dont get rained on...so guess what! It literally haled all around us, but not on us! Members asked us "what did you do during the hale storm?" and we had no idea what they were talking about!! It was so great!! BLESSINGS!!!

Saturday: We got to be in a mini trio for a day :) Our sister training leaders are in a trio (three people in one companionship) so when the two Sister training leaders go out with other missionaries the third person (sister Babb) had to find another companionship to tag along with! So she came with us! IT was so fun! She is a spanish speaking missionary so she helped us contact all of the people that we couldn't talk to! We were in her area too, so that helped her find new people to teach too! We were walking and we started talking to this one nice lady. We asked if we could share a Christmas video with her and her family. She said she was really busy, but would take our card and if she had time she would call. So we gave her our card and she asked, "What is the name of your church? and what denomination are you?" We told her, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we are Christian." We continue talking and she said that our church sounded so familiar! Then we said, "We are nicknamed the Mormons"  and she then replied, "Oh then take back your card or I will through it away. You dont believe in the bible!" I asked why she didnt like our religion and then she almost exploded and told us a lot of wrong things. Then sister Babb said, "we arent hear to cause confrontation, but if you ever do have questions we would love to answer them." and we left. So sad! Some people just dont know what we believe! Then that night we went to our ward Christmas Party and we had to sing a solo....yeah... We sand "When Joseph went to Bethlehem" We did okay, but really we only sang the first verse and it was interesting! then we went home  :D and something amazing Happened! it was so funny!! We got a knock at our door at like 9:30 pm....we went to answer it and it was a pizza lady. I said, "We didnt order this" and she said, "Zak" and waved and left. So we go inside and there is a note on the inside of the box and it says Happy Birthday Love, Zak. Sister Pielstick's friend sent her pizza for her birthday! (it was Sunday by the way) It was so cute!! and we got brownies :) Please do not do that for my birthday!! We have enough food!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday: was really hard....first I spoke in sacrament meeting and then we got a phone call that broke my heart...Bear wont be meeting with us anymore...It is a long story and my time is running out, but just yeah...It will all be well.....God has a plan for him and he will get baptized one day!!

This week was crazy come to think about it! But next week will be even better! I love you all so much and hope that you have the best week in the world!!! Thank you for the Birthday Wishes! You all are the best!!

Love,
Sister Moore

Christmas Devotional!!!

Happy Birthday Brennon!!! 17 years old!!!

This week was kinda slow...we took one and a half sick days....I hate being sick on the mission....but I learn something new every time!

Monday: last day of November...so weird.... We taught Bear and we started talking about doing God's will and keeping his commandments. Then Bear said, "I got an answer" It was so amazing! He really wants to do what Heavenly Father wants him to do. He said he would get baptized! I can't wait! It probably wont happen tell Jan. But I really don't care as long as it happens!

Tuesday: haha so I went to write in my journal, but I was so tired that I can hardly read what I wrote! haha we had dinner with Sister Goodbaudy. She is 91 years old :) We went out to eat and met her family. she has great great grandchildren! Love her! Then we went and taught a lesson and the lesson went in the opposite direction we thought it would. We planned to teach the Plan of Salvation, but ended up talking about the organization of the church. The person we were teaching learned about the church by a friend, and he said, "I want to become mormon" Well we can help with that! haha :)

Wednesday: We went to the temple :) But we were both kinda sick...but we didnt want to miss out on the temple! Then we came home had dinner....steak and potatoes! SO GOOD!!! Then we went and taught a member and shared the Christmas video :) and we taught a less active. All is well :)

Thursday: I slept for 15 hours.....it was awesome!

Friday: We ate dinner with a member and every time we eat with her we get pizza, and not just once slice...it is two or three! and we have to eat ice cream...I feel so fat when I leave her house. But then a member came out with us so we could teach Richard and Martin. We taught Richard....I feel kinda bad.....He wasn't reading....He wasn't praying....and he wasn't going to Church!!! So I kinda yelled at him...He just wasnt getting it...and then he came to church and someone told him he couldnt come in...because we were just about to start sacrament...all he had to do was wait! Seriously.....So yes I kinda feel bad....but not really... We also taught Martin...he wasn't doing anything either...so we told him to read, and If he doesn't read then we can't come anymore... :( I really love that guy and it breaks my heart when they dont keep commitments and we have to drop them...It is rough...

Saturday: We went to help another set of missionaries find new people to teach! So all of the missionaries went in one ward and walked around. We met this really crazy guy named Earl (sorry grandpa...he was crazy not you ;) He kept telling us that he doesnt believe in God. Then he continued to tell us about all of the neighbors and who is home and who is not. He road his tricycle around with us and we talked...but he still wasn't interested by the time we went separate ways. Then we went to help a less active with their yard, but could only help for about 20 min....then we went to teach a lesson....that wasn't there....so then our bishop helped us fix our bikes! Which was so nice! Then we went to help a member move "heavy furniture" the freaked out When I picked up a dresser....it wasn't that heavy just awkward to hold. as we were moving Sister Pielstick looked at me and she didn't feel good....so we went home... :( and we were in for the rest of the night....and most of sunday. Our dinner appointment was so nice to pick us up soup and drop it off to us!

Sunday: I went to church with a member....but I was left alone for like two min.....I couldn't handle it! So I found a woman in the San Jacinto ward to hang out with me until Sacrament started....As a missionary...dont ever be alone!  Sister Pielstick stayed home sick with a member because we thought more people would be at church.....but we only had one....but that is better than none! Then I went home and we just sat.....and then went to the Christmas devotional! It was amazing! Everyone should watch it if you get the chance!

I love you all and Christ really is the lights of Christmas! The light is what brings us joy, happiness, and peace. I love this time of year!

Thanks Giving!

Just another week....it was actually kinda slow because everyone was with their families and such!

Happy Birthday Haylee Bug!!! Awe 4 years old already!!! :D

Monday: We taught Bear....it is going super slow and I pray that I will be in this area when he gets baptized....but if not that is fine. The Lord has a better plan than I do!

Tuesday: We had a meeting about a new referral system and we also got packages :D My wonderful sister sent me a package that has everything I need to make a gingerbread house!!! I almost died! AWE I haven't made it yet and I hope I find time today...because we are so busy!!! We walked around almost all day long. Then we had dinner with a member that we love! Sister Garvin :D such a cute family! Then we had a meeting with our Ward mission leader that lasted about fifteen minutes....sorry I forgot my journal and so there might not be many details....

Wednesday: We met with a less active family that wants to come back to church. She is a sweet single mom that is going through a bad divorce! While we were there she asked if she could run to the bathroom (asking if it would be legal as missionaries with kids and such) so she ran to the bathroom came out and said, "It was so nice to have the door closed!" She has a little baby boy that has seizures and she can't leave him for very long...she has to wake up every half hour to make sure he is still okay...and she works full time!! with two other kids that are 7 and 5! Super woman! We went to Denny's that night for dinner so that was nice!

Thursday: Turkey day! We woke up and played football with missionaries....which was fun! then we went home and got ready and went to dinner with Brother Bob Davis. We were there with his family forever! It was so weird! We didnt really know what else to do so we just sat there and had pie :) That night we watched Ephraim's Rescue! It was so good! :D Then we went home and slept!

Friday: longest morning.....we had a member pick us up from our apartment and take us to walmart because we had to fix sister pielstick's bike tire...so we went in the crazy black friday shopping!! Waited for forever for them to tell us "We have one, but we can't find it" lame.....so we called another member from another ward to pick us up and drive us to the other walmart! I love her so much! It was such a big help! Then she bought us ice cream! :D It was so great! Then we finally got back fixed the bike...to have the brakes be too tight....and I dont know how to fix that/dont have the right tools! lame!!! So we walked all day! and had left overs for dinner :D So good! That night we had exchanges!

Saturday: I was with Sister Carlson. She goes home 4 days after Christmas! Crazy!! We didnt have bikes still so we walked everywhere! But first a member picked us up and had us decorate their christmas tree :D IT was so amazing!!! we had cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate! :D Best day ever! Then we walked all over and had found so many people! We are so busy this week! I pray that it will all work out....I have been feeling sick..darn cold....but we dont have time to get sick...we have the temple on Wed. and I am so excited!!!! anywho....we had a lesson on the porch with Cody because we couldnt find a woman to go with us! But it went well! Then we had dinner and then taught my very favorite person! Sister Reed! She is so cool :D Love her! Her son (he is 8 or 9)  made us cake, but we had to go....so we took it with us :D It was really good! Then we exchanged back :D

Sunday: We had two investigators at church! It was so great! I wasn't feeling that great so after church we went to plan and then dinner....but it wasnt finished cooking so we walked around and found a new investigator! Mark :D So excited! Then we had dinner and I almost fell asleep on the couch...I was so out of it...but we went on and taught a less active after that then we did numbers and went home......I fell asleep so fast! man

Monday: this morning we had to wake up early to go to crossfit...I almost died! My head was hurting and sister pielstick wasnt feeling all that well... :( but we did it! Then we went shopping and now we are here :D haha I love you all! and hope you had the best week ever!

Thank you for your support and prayers!!!

Got peed on......and crushed on....oh the life of a missionary ;)

Okay nothing really exciting happened this week....but that's okay :) haha I love getting so many emails! I love hearing about what is going on and such :) Love you all!

Monday: We taught Bear again :) I love him! He is so great! He really wants to know if it is true, but he hasn't received an answer yet. But he is still reading, praying and going to church! He just is so cool :) I might have to send a picture next week of him on his bike :) haha it is so great! (wow got a little sidetracked.....sorry!)

Tuesday: We taught a member that just got her tattoos almost finished. It is really the coolest tattoo I have ever seen! She has a Disney character for each of her family members on her arm. She said that it took her nine hours and it didnt even get done....and she cried so hard! I really dont know why she is getting them if they cause her pain....any who I love her and give her a hard time about it :)

Wednesday: We taught this really cool potential investigator that looks like Si off of Duck Dynasty. He said we could come back, but that he wasnt ready to learn more, or to go to church....so I might stop by and get a picture with him too. I tell ya southern Cali people are so interesting haha :) So many people so little time! Then we taught a man named Kenny who wants to come to church, but he is moving.... lame, but he wanted us to come back so we did :) and it went great! So all we need to do is find his new address and pass him over :) Then we tried a few Potentials, and then dinner :D With a family of 8 children! They are a combined family, but they are so awesome! They found out that I played video games back home...yeah some kids thought I was cool ;) Then we went to taught Richard, it went pretty well :) He couldnt come to church this week, but hopefully next week!

Thursday: We really planned...walked and planned.....no one was outside! well there was a few people, but they weren't interested...aka they yelled at us saying, "Can I have your number!" haha so great! :) Why must I have a companion that is so beautiful! the struggle is real! We were talking and we figured out who we would be as Disney Characters. Sister Pielstick is Tiana because she is very driven and works really hard. She also puts the work first! I am Nala because I have a soft heart, but I like to hunt. haha :) it was a fun/weird day!

Friday: I might die...We are doing cross fit next week and I am trying to train for it..We have to do ten sets of: 70 meter run, 7 burpies, 7 squat jumps, 7 push-ups (with hand lift)...I can do 7 sets without running....I hope I wont die....haha We got to study outside so that was nice. Then we went to an appointment and as she opened the door her dog bolted out and peed all over my foot....we set up another time to come because she was busy and once we got back to our member car I asked Sister Pielstick for hand-sanitizer....she asked why...I told her for my foot because the dog peed on me...she could not stop laughing.....probably like you are now and that's okay! ;) haha It was pretty funny because for the dinner appointment after that the members dogs kept sniffing my foot...they wouldn't leave it alone! So I put lysol on it! Oh I had Popeyes for the first time...pretty good :) We also had a ward missionary church tour that totally rocked! a few of investigators were there and it rocked!

Saturday: We taught Jose and he wanted us to come back! He seemed so excited to learn more, and so relaxed! Dont worry he wasnt drunk or anything :) he is naturally a relaxed person! We rearranged our room so that was fun!  :D

Sunday: Bear and Cody came to church! Seriously the best two investigators ever! This sunday was so great! We talked about the Holy Ghost and the rolls it plays in our lives. I love Church! So great! You get out of it what you put into it! We had dinner at the Greenman's home :) so good! they had more family there then normal which is great! The Moreno's were there and their little boy....he is 7 years old and the first thing he says to me is, "Sister Moore, You have beautiful eyes." I say, "Awe thank you!" then later he says..."Sister Moore, you have beautiful hair." ....again thank you! then again...."Sister Moore you have beautiful Skin!" haha The parents were laughing so hard! The whole night he would say, "I have a BIG Missionary crush!" and he came up to me with a sign that said, "I love Sister Moore" With hearts around it...I might have to send a picture of him to ya'll too haha :) it was so funny! and he ate his vegetables because I told him that I love them! haha kids are so funny :) after dinner we had a few appointments then we went come :) All is well

okay so it looks like I had  pretty great week of being peed on and crushed on haha :) I hope ya'll got a kick out of it! Thank you so much for the prayers and support! I love you all!!!!

COLD!!!!!!

I really think that I am about to freeze!! I had to buy another jacket....it got to 50 Degrees!!!! SOOOOOO COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really think it might snow or something because....really I might freeze!!!

Monday: We taught Bear....his lessons are always so long! He said he would come to church this Sunday in our ward!

Tuesday: We had a training by our mission president on how to use the new Christmas video :) I am so excited for the Holidays! on the Saturday after Thanks Giving we are going to a members house to decorate their tree for "service" It might be more of a service for us than anything...haha :) any who we then went to a members house and helped her paint/did her dishes. She is so great! She has four kids and going to school full time! AND she tries to help us every chance we get!  We then did studies and walked around and then went to a lesson with two new investigators! They work with a lot of members. They seemed really excited to learn more and the member that came with us/works with them. Shared a powerful testimony about how the gospel blessed his life and his family's life! So awesome! Then we had to bike in the dark to our dinner.....when we got their the member told us, "NO! You are not riding your bikes home in the dark! Park them inside my house and I will take you where ever you need to go after dinner." She is so great :) it was the same member we helped paint :) We really have the best ward ever!!

Wednesday: In the morning all the sisters we live with (there are 4 of us all together) went running :) It was fun running with everyone! So fun :) We then had the opportunity to plan....all morning long :) it was a crazy day....then we went out and walked around. We picked a place to walk and right as we locked our bikes a woman came around the corner and we started talking. My hair kept blowing everywhere because of the wind so she came up to me and moved the hair out of my face....slowly....then she just looked at me....I really thought she might kiss me it was scary! Then she gave us each like three hugs and that is when we could smell it...alcohol.....haha she was so drunk!!! She stood back and almost fell over and when she gave me one last lingering hug I looked at my companion in desperation and she was just laughing!!! We gave her our card....so who knows what will happen haha :) Then later we were biking and this creepy homeless guy started talking to us as we road away and he asked, "Can I come with?" I said, "If you can keep up!" and we peddled faster haha :) it was funny!  haha :)  then we taught our investigator Cody and a part-member family. They went well :)

Thursday: We had ZDM Normally it is on Tuesday, but one of our Zone Leaders had to go to San Diego for an investigator that went through the temple! Lucky duck.... So we had a great training....I was a little distracting.....We just have so many investigators that have the weirdest problems ever! Then we went and did some more training and had mac and Cheese!  and we taught Noah and Richard.....both were interesting... Richard told us he would come to church...but didn't...the stinker......

Friday: We had fish tacos! They were so good :D the Sii family is the best and bro. Sii is the best cook ever! awe :)

Saturday: 10 months in the field!! and transfer calls :) We are staying in Mt. view! :D thank goodness! We were walking around and a lady ran up to us and said, " I want to get baptized!" WHAT!!! That never happens!!!! So we got her number and she said she wanted to be baptized on Sunday because on Monday she was moving to Texas. It doesn't really work that way...so hopefully we can get her new address and send her down to Texas!!  :D  Then we meet a drunk guy...and his friend was smoking pot :) it was great! Just another day in San Jacinto haha :) Oh and I found out that my last companion Sister McCulloch is training :) I am so excited! AWE :D
Sunday: Bear came to Church!!!! awe I was praying so hard for one of our investigators to come to church! we have 7 that we wanted to come....and he was the only one! I wanted to hug him and tell him how grateful I was for him coming :) Because I know that this gospel will bless his life!!! We also got Samoan food for dinner :) So good! We are learning Samoan too :) Talofa! (hello) haha :) we are learning Silent night so cool :) Then she gave us food and we ended up giving it another homeless lady that wanted us to come back and share our message with her :) We got her number and said we would call  her on Tuesday to meet :) She seemed nice :) Then we went home and ate reeses cheese cake :) It was the best!!!

Monday: today we are just waiting for new people to come in and old people to leave :) Crazy how much time flies! I love this work! and I can't wait to see how your week went :)

BEAR!!!!

What a week! We have been so busy and I can't even explain! So many people here are ready to hear the gospel and are ready to become followers of Jesus Christ! I forgot my Journal...so I am just going out of my companions planner.....so there might not be many details....Sorry :D

Tuesday: We had DDM and Sister Pielstick had to go the Orthodontist again...so I was going to tag along with the other sisters in a different ward, but then...another sister got sick, so I stayed with her until my companion came back :) just more study time!  Then we were off to walk around the streets and talk with the world! Then we went to dinner and it was so nice :) then we had a lesson with Cody. Sister Davis came with us, and man I love her! She has such a strong testimony of the gospel! Then we went home....not much happened, but hey :) We taught Cody :) We sang I am and Child of God with him, and he is slowly learning the words :)

Wednesday:  We had dinner with a sweet single woman. Then she went out with us, but got in with no one! After that we taught a lesson to a part-member family.

Thursday: Planning.....always goes on for a while! We went out and tried to find some people...but another flat....:( after we fixed it we started walking, but then we got a call from our dinner appointment saying she had to pick us up early, but we didnt mind :) Because they had their non-member friend coming to dinner and he wanted to learn about the gospel! We went to dinner and we met Bear :) (ya see what I did there ;) He is so awesome! He is a biker, with a beard and he is just the best!!! He had so many questions and we just clicked! I feel so much love for him already! AWE :D He is the best!!!

Friday: We had two appointments at the same time....what does this mean?!?!?! SPLITS!!! Sister Pielstick went with a member and I went to a member and we taught two lessons at one time :) It was great! I taught Diana. We talked about how we can know if the Book of Mormon is true, and how we came to know that it is God's words. I asked Diana to be Baptized on December 19th, and she said she would if she felt ready :) I hope it happens!!!  Then while I was teaching Diana, Sister Pielstick taught Claudia and her family. They want to learn more about the bible and Jesus Christ. While she was there the Spanish Elders knocked on their door....awkward.... haha oh well :) then we walked....and then we had dinner....it was so good! Then we taught Martin :) He is doing so great! We asked him to come to church, and he said he would come for the hour (but he didnt :/) He wants to read and was so excited for us to give him a big copy of the Book of Mormon.

Saturday: After studies, man so crazy!! We went to Diana's house for her daughter's birthday party :) So fun! We couldn't stay long, but she was so glad that we went :) Then we walked...and then we taught a member....then we went on splits again....and apparently there was a weird light in the sky! Some think it was a missile....others thing aliens...no one will ever know ;) haha we contacted another less active and a few potentials. Then we went to dinner and we had tacos :) then we went and taught Richard! Richard is very interesting...I can't wait to see how our next lesson goes!

Sunday: We had church, studies, and then dinnner....it was so good! I really just want to make a mission cook book. then we studied some more and went out with a few members, and no one answered...again....but Cody came to church :D One is better than none!!!

Hope all is well with ya'll :) I found this great sign :) I got really excited!!! haha :)

Love you all!!

Happy Halloween :D AND BAPTISM!

What a great, hard, and trying week. However, so many blessings come to those that pray and work hard! :D Keep reading the scriptures and love the Lord!

Tuesday: Sister Pielstick had to go to the Orthodontist because she broke her retainer... that awkward moment....haha jk! While she was gone I went out with a member Sister Sii (ii says e-e so it's like you se-e ya gotta say it right;) We had so much fun! She is a convert to the church and she has the funnest personality ever!  Also, she knows Spanish so when we met people that I couldn't talk to it worked out really well :) We met a preacher from another faith....we tried to go, but he kept talking...and talking...and talking...Then I had the Bishop's wife come out with me for a while too. Seriously We have the best ward ever! awe :) That night I went to Spanish land with Hermana Ruthaford.

Wednesday: I learned so much, yes I can understand Spanish....but it is only by the spirit! haha :) I also learned how to contact people in Spanish...it is still a work in progress, but I will figure it out before I leave :D

Thursday: So many people are flakes...all of our appointments fell through! everyone of them! Even our back ups didn't work! and of course we planned....and made Frozen heart cookies...yeah I'm cool like that... ;)

Friday: Was the best day ever! We only taught  one lesson to a member family, but it was awesome! Before that we were riding around and stopping by potentials Investigators house....found out they were actually members....really awkward! haha :) We go back to our bikes to find that....Sister Pielstick has another flat! We start to walk back, but then.....the heavens open and a silver Dodge truck comes driving down the street.....it was another potential investigator! We invited them to the trunk or treat and they want us to come back! I can't wait!!! :D God is totally in control of our lives! We then walked to another  members house (the Crouch family.....they have 8 kids....best family ever!) and they helped us fix our bikes, gave us a few referrals and off we went! The referrals weren't very nice....but that's okay :) Then we went back home and helped with the ward party! It was a huge success! We invited a few potential investigators and they came! It was amazing! Ward parties are not for the ward....it is for investigators that need fellowship and need that contact with the church! One of people we invited was Kelly. He is so great! He saw us after the party and came over to talk to us. He continued to tell us that he was a member of the church, but he struggled with a few things. For some reason he thought all Mormons are racist.... dumb! But he, and his family, have been going through a hard time. And when we came up to talk to him he said, "It was like a breath of Fresh air." It felt so good :) he wants us to come back on Wednesday :D Can't wait!!!

Saturday: We taught Martin. He is going to be baptized Dec 6th and is so sweet! He might go with us to a member's home for dinner tonight too! I sure hope so! then also I called a member, but had to leave a message....and at the end of the message I said, "...and we say these things.." haha so funny! Missionary Probs! haha :) We had dinner with another amazing family! They made us breakfast. Then they drove us to the stake center and we watched the Best two years :) because we couldn't be out past 6....so we partied it up!!! Noah was not able to get baptized....because the mom kept flaking out on us.....she kept getting labor pains or something.... :(

Sunday: Cody, and Noah Came to church! They are both learning so much! I love it! after church We studied and went to dinner :) then I got to go to Corona for a baptism! Betty that is 90 years old got baptized! I was so excited! AWE!!!!! :D She was so excited to see me :) and I loved seeing her :) I just didn't want to let her go :D When I came back apparently Sister Pielstick had a few people not be very nice to her....darn people!!!! Be nice!! this is God's work!!!

This week was hard because people kept flaking on us....But this week will be much better :) I look forward to see how much the Lord loves the people here! I love this work!!!

Wow What a Week!!!!

This week has been so crazy!!!!! I know that the Lord blesses us and is working with us! This ward is so amazing!!!

Monday: after dinner we had a member take us out to a less active member's house. Well the family welcomed us and we got a long really well! Then we went home. haha yeah

Tuesday: We had our DDM Meeting and then we fixed our tires....if we get any more flats I might just through my companions bike! See I have only had one flat....but my companions keep getting them.....we then went walking......and walking...and walking.....then we taught a new investigator Nestor. He is in high school and is interested in learning about more religions. then we went to dinner.

Wednesday: Every appointment fell through....we walked a lot....it was hard, but it is good :)

Thursday: we had the best day planned! But our appointments fell through.....we did have one with our investigator Noah. he is 8 years old and He wants to be baptized on Halloween! But his mom thinks it is too soon....lame....we will make it work next week!

Friday: We walked some more for 3 hours....then we taught Cody. He is so sweet! He has a learning disability, so we have to take it one step at a time. He is learning so much though! He loves God and really wants to follow Jesus Christ!

Saturday: we talked to a WW2 veteran he was 91 years old! He told us we could come back, and he would call us! Can't wait to teach him!!! We also picked up a new Investigator that is going through a bad divorce....the gospel will help him for sure!

Sunday: Church was great! Cody came and answered some of the questions in class! The teacher asked him who taught him that and he said, "the Sisters, The Sisters Taught me that!" it was so great! After Church we picked up a new investigator named Martha. She loves Jesus Christ and already has a church, but she is willing to read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it is true!  We had dinner with the Davis' they are older and just so sweet to us!

Monday: We went on a hike so that is why this is late...and short haha :)

Forgot a birthday shout out to my wonderful Sisters, Andrea and Heidi, and also my brothers: Kyler and Blake.

Hope you all had a great week! love ya!

Best week EVER!!!

Last week was one of the hardest weeks that I have ever had on my mission. We were short on time because of meetings, and We really didn't know anyone haha :) I guess that is why this week was the best week ever!

Tuesday: We went with a member to go contact her co-worker that was interested in the gospel. She was amazing! She committed to baptism and is reading the Book of Mormon! She kept asking her friend how she got so close with her husband and family. Then she told her about the Book of Mormon and how it brought them closer together through Jesus Christ! I can't wait to teach her even more! After that we had dinner and they sent us home with leftovers :) YUMM!!! But then we gave them to a homeless lady....thought she needed it more than us. We see her from time to time :) and her cute dog!

Wednesday: We had 3 lessons set up with potential investigators.....but all of them stood us up! On our way back to our bikes we heard a pop....and a gush of air came blowing out! Sister Pielstick's tire popped.....and it was because I put it in wrong...lame!!! But now I know how to do it :) So a member helped us get it in their truck and then we have been on foot ever sense! 9 months ago I left the MTC :D Wow how time has flown by! We did Tim Tam Slams :) it was great! We also taught Cody. He is a great kid! His uncle called us and told us that we need to start teaching him. So we did haha :)

Thursday:  We Planned...and taught Noah! He is 8 years old and wants to be Baptized! Neither of his parents are members, so he is a convert baptism! We asked him to be baptized on Halloween, but he was worried it would be too soon! We will work with him and I pray that he will feel ready by then! How cool would that be! to get baptized on Halloween! SO COOL!!! We had something interesting for dinner....it was good I just would have never imagined this combination! Rice, with a hamburger patty, then a fried egg (with the yoke still runny, I call it a pocket full of sunshine) and gravy over the top of it! It was actually really good :) haha then the member came out with us and no one was home....oh well :D keep on keepin' on!

Friday; We had Multi-Zone today! awe it felt so good! We sat and got scolded/trained on how to talk with everyone we see! These last two weeks we haven't had any baptisms in our whole mission.....this is bad...really bad....this week we got 7 which is good :) so we learned a lot! after the meeting we went to dinner :) After we ate we asked if we could share a message with their family. The mom asked what the message was about. We planned on faith. She then picked up her phone and called her non-member neighbor and had her come over for the lesson! The family gave her a Book of Mormon and we invited her to learn more, and she said that she wanted too! She is the best! She also came to church on Sunday and loved it! AWE :D

Saturday: Was a very interesting day...we talked with everyone! literally everyone!! It was so crazy! There was this one lady, she was sitting on the grass and she had all of her stuff sprawled out. She had some cute heels (we know how much I love those!) and so I said, " I really like those heel!" She then responds, "They aren't real!" really confused I said, "Oh I just said that I liked your shoes." She then goes off! "These things right here aren't real. Nothing is real. None of this even matters. Do you have a phone? Could you call my boyfriend? He didn't answer did he. I don't even care......." She kept going! It was crazy! We just walked away and yeah...haha the fun things that happen on a mission!

Sunday: What a beautiful day! We had Three investigators at church and awe :) I had to talk though....apparently I talk really soft....so many people didn't hear me...oops....oh well! We also got to do sharing time in Primary! It was so fun :D haha The Bishop's wife came out with us after dinner and she stayed with us for 4 hours! We felt so bad! We told her that she would drop us off for the last appointment, but she wanted to come :) What a sweet lady! I love her! She is just the best!

Monday: Today has been pretty relaxed! I so needed it haha :) Can't wait to see what adventures come our way next week!

Love you all and hope you had a great week! Can't wait to hear from everyone!

MT View!! San Jacinto! I love it!! :D

This week has been one of the hardest of my mission! Not only did I get a new companion fresh from the MTC, but I also am in a new area where Elders used to serve....and.....yeah enough said....We just have a lot of work to do! I pray and I know that this area is going to grow and flourish! AWE I love the people!!

Tuesday: I was with Sister Meza in my area all day! We walked a little bit then we went and picked up all of the paper work for my area! which wasn't a lot....I started to feel overwhelmed and not sure if I could rebuild this area and train a new missionary....But then something changed. The other Sister must have sensed this(or saw it on my face) because they all told me that I will do great and that I will change this area! It just felt nice :D Then we also ate Sushi for lunch :) it was amazing!

Wednesday: Was the day....she finally came :D Sister Pielstick (like you are peeling a stick) she is from St. Augustine Florida and loves the city. My first City girl companion! :D We drove home, and I followed Elders because they said they knew how to get home.....yeah......We got home dropped off her stuff then we went and road our bikes to our dinner appointment! and because it gets dark at 7...we had to go home...:( and Sister Pielstick got a flat.... but we will fix that today :D

Thursday: We went and walked in our area and found some new people to teach! We are so excited! We have so many people ready to hear our message!

Friday: We really walked all day....and we had lunch with all the missionaries for a big meeting! it was fun :D We ran into a guy smoking weed and he said, "oh no you dont want to talk to me!" But we did :) We didn't get a return appointment, but it was still a great experience! We also met a girl from Africa!! WHAT!! She was cool, she likes her religion, but we gave her a Book of Mormon and she said that she would read it :D

Saturday: Saturday no one was out....we organized our white bored...yeah...Saturday was rough....The Relief Society had us over for breakfast though! It was so fun! They told us a lot of information about members in the ward! SO HELPFUL! I love the people here!!!

Sunday: We went to church at 8 for a meeting. Then another meeting at 9 then Church at 11 to 2! We were walking into the building and....Sister Gass runs out, I gasp, and she gives me the biggest hug! I just lost it and started crying! ( she is in the first ward that I served in...oh how I missed her! She signed up to feed us next week...two days in a row...haha) and that's how it was all day!! I saw so many people that I knew and I hugged and cried! I really was just a mess....I saw our old home share Sister Peel too I really just started bawling! I can't believe I am back here! I am just so happy!

I am so happy to be here again! My heart can't express how much I love San Jacinto! AWE :D Seriously!! I love these people!! and I can't wait to start teaching and baptizing in this area!!

Oh and we also got to meet Olaf, Elsa, Anna, and Christoph (this is our Ward Mission Leader's Daughter's family :) they were going to Disneyland for Halloween and wanted to show us their costumes! So fun! The Grandma made parts of the costumes! So awesome!

I AM TRANSFERRED!!!

I am getting Transferred to Hemet again :D I am so excited! It will be a different ward, but really close to my first area! I will also be training again! A new missionary from the MTC! I don't know the area....so I will be learning right a long side her! It will be interesting and I am grateful for your prayers! I will miss Corona...so much! I won't tell you home much I have cried....but I know that it will be for the best! I look forward to coming back and visiting all of these people! They are a part of my heart and I will never let them out!

Tuesday: Last District Meeting in Corona. An elder was also going home so we sang "God be with you tell me meet again" He almost cried! any who we went and and saw a few less actives.....crazy story so one of our less actives is in the hospital....he might lose his foot! Crazy right! any who after we visited him we were able to go to another family. As we were walking outside we ran into a new potential investigator! Then we went to dinner with the Jacob's family :) I love them! Their son had a few none member friends there so we were able to challenge them to read the Book of Mormon! We went to a Part-Member family and we were able to teach the husband who is a non-member! He has a lot of questions and I can't wait to see them get baptized!

Wednesday: We were able to teach a new investigator on the street next to his house. It went well then we found out that Zoey (she is a young woman that isn't a member, but her dad is, and her mom doesn't want her to get baptized!) Crazy story...We will pray for her!

Thursday: We planned...and planned again....haha then we went out..and taught...then we had dinner with the Avalos family! then we walked to an appointment with the Spanish Elders. Last Monday we contacted and taught a Spanish woman. Monday:We were walking to Sister Young's house after dinner then we saw these two people sitting outside! It was probably the worst contact I have ever made! We walked passed and I said, "The weather is lovely isn't it!?" the guy said, "Yes it is very nice." I stopped and asked, "Do you come out and sit here often?" (See I told you it was bad) Then we asked if we could share a message about Christ, and he said yes! His mom went and turned on a light asked us if we wanted a Beer (hehe ;) then we sat down. The man asked if we could speak Spanish, but we can't...so we just shared with them how much God loves them, we asked if we could start with a prayer, they said yes. After I said the prayer the Mom stood up gave me a hug, then Sister McCulloch, then her son a hug. They just cried! I don't really know why, but I could tell they were having a hard time.  Sister McCulloch shared with them Ether 12:27 and wow :) The spirit was so strong! We asked if we could come back, they said yes. But then we asked if they would like Spanish speaking missionaries. They said that would be great! So we left them with a prayer. We stood in a Circle and prayed The mom Prayed in Spanish and it was so amazing! I have no Idea what she said, but after her son turned to us and said, "She said that she was grateful that you guys stopped by." Man what a blessing! And we almost walked passed their house! Then the mom said, "I will come to your church this Sunday!" So back to Thursday: We wanted to meet with the Mom and the Spanish Elders so that they wouldn't get freaked out or anything. But she wasn't home... :( oh well!

Friday: I was so tired!  We taught so many people in such a short time.. then we went out with Sister Wilbert and we got Santo's to commit to come to church SUNDAY!! and He said he would be baptized!!! Dang!

Saturday: I found out this morning that I was Training :) I thought for sure that Sister McCulloch would have gotten the call....But then I found out that I was leaving! Crazy!! any who Conference was great!

Sunday: I hate saying good bye..It sucks! I cry too much! SANTOS came to church! awe it felt so good!!! awe :) But then the rest of the night I just packed and said good bye! \

Well that is really it :) I look forward to meeting my new companion on Wednesday! and getting to know more people in Hemet! I love this new challenge, but I am also scared to death! But it will make me stronger!!

I love this work! and I hope that you all had a great week!

Love,
Sister Moore

RUSH!!!

Okay so we really don't have a lot of time today....long story short we went hiking today, and it took longer and yeah....it was fun but now we are rushing to email and other things made it so that this is also coming in late....

Tuesday:  We taught Vicky, I love her and she has now told us her life story! Which is a crazy one!  Besides that all of our appointments fell through, so we walked....and walked...we walked right into Betty a former investigator! We helped her carry her shopping bags in and such.... she gave us soup which tasted good :) such a nice lady! Then we had a Book of Mormon class! It was so great!
Wednesday: WE went on exchanges and Sister Bjork came with me to Corona :) IT was also old people day which was great! We were able to help Sister Sartain with making her bed. She also told me that she was going to give me her Christmas village! How awesome is that! A few weeks ago we were talking about them, and I told her how much I love my village. So She was going to give her village to me! :D But her grandson had them....and they love them...but its the thought that counts! We taught Bro Lorenzen also and he told us that he would come to Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once football season was over.....so in Feb....better then nothing! Before he didn't even want to come! Then we walked....and talked to spanish people.....

Thursday: We had planning....but we didn't even get to finish because we went out to contact some referrals, but no luck...we went back and planned....then went out with Sister Wilbert! I love that girl! She is so great! then we had dinner with the Kelley family! They are the best! Their daughter got baptized on Saturday and it was awesome! This family has done so much missionary work! They invited some of the daughters friends from school to the baptism (They are not members). any who that is on saturday! But we walked down the rest of the night.

Friday: We finished plannning(sometimes I swear that all we do is plan, to make more plans, and then to change those plans...but hey it works for missionary work!) and then we went and saw the O'flynn family! They are the best! Then we walked to dinner...had Thai food  (I most likely spent that wrong) It was good! Then they tool us to frozen yogurt....it was amazing...but Frozen was playing on their TV.....I put my back to the TV....but then I could see the reflection......I tried so hard!!! any who.....WE had a lesson with troy and it was awesome! Good kid!

Saturday: We went to exercise and we ran into Arisha! We are kinda teaching her now, but yeah :) so she tried to work out with us it was fun! We told her that we would be back at the park at 3 to meet with her. Then we went home, got ready went to the stake baptism and studied....then took off! Then after the baptism we went to a lunch. Our Bishop dropped us off to a birthday party (it was for a less active part member family's son that turned one) But it was at the wrong park (it was our fault not his) So we walked! We got there just in time to eat, and then Sister Wilbert met us there and we were off to teach Sanots! our High Priest Group Leader Brother Berhens came with us! He told me he would teach me how to surf when I come back and visit! SWEET! But Santos wasn't home...DANG!!! Then we went back home, finished studies and then taught Arisha with her friend Aurther and troy. It went well, but we ran out of time because we had Woman's Conference at 4! So after the lesson we ran back home for our ride to pick us up! AND THEN!!!! (GASP FOR AIR!) We got to the stake center, ate dinner and had a member take a picture of us to send to our families. The picture was of the O'Flynn Girls :) it was great! then we got to sit down and watch Conference....so busy! But so Great! awe So many answers! I just love this work! I know that Heavenly Father Answers our prayers!

Sunday: We woke up and got ready, we tried to visit 3 families, but only one let us talk to them for a minute! But that's okay! we walked around and then we went to church :) awe so amazing! then Sister Wilbert went out with us again and no one answered....but that is okay! Dinner was great! We then went with bishop to a Less active members house and that went great! I saw the eclipse!

Monday: We woke up, got  ready. Went Hiking! It was the best thing ever! We hiked where a river used to be! We thought we would be able to see the ocean....but not! We came back home all muddy and great! Then we got read started to email...then our apartment people kicked us off the computers because some kids had to do homework.....so then we ran down to the family history center! haha yeah....and we have dinner in 20 minutes.....kinda a crazy day!

So know I love you, God loves you, and there is a plan for us! I know that as long as we put him first everything else will fall into place! Sorry this was so rushed, but hey that means next week will be better!

LOVE YOU!!!

ELMINIO (in spanish it means child, but english it means rain!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA MOORE :D

Man this week has been so crazy and exhausting!!! But I know that Heavenly Father has helped lead and guide me through this week. Thank you so much for your prayers! I love each and everyone of you!

Tuesday: We woke up and started getting ready to go outside and exercise! yes I do run...do sit ups...and dips... and yes I almost die every morning....but not this morning :) It was pouring rain!! :D It was coming down so hard it was almost a Utah Storm! haha :) we watched the rain as we "exercised" inside and then did our studying. At that time :) It was time to go to the temple! awe yes! We went to the temple :) A lovely member drove us in the crazy weather (don't worry she grew up in Ogden Utah so she knew how to drive in the rain) We ate lunch, went to the temple and when we came out the rain was gone so we got to take pictures of Sister Mcculloch, Sister Burris, Sister Vorkink, and I :) Awe it was awesome! Then we had dinner with a family that is starting to come back to church! They are making it a goal to go get sealed in the temple :) Over all it was like the best day ever! We went to a Book of Mormon Class that the Elders put together. We hope to bring some of our Investigators next time to the class!

Wednesday: Today we had DDM. We talked about how important it is to invite people to be baptized on the first lesson! Crazy right?!?! But I know that as I invite people to be baptized that they will feel the spirit and know that this is the path their Heavenly Father wants them to take! After DDM We went off to old people day with Eliza :) It went great! i love those cute old people! We went to see sister Young and guess what we saw :) A possum! Sister Mcculloch prayed to see one on her mission and she did!! it was in Sister Young's Garbage can haha...it ended up dying two days later....but hey we got to see it alive! Then a Potential Investigator went to young women's and loved it! She is even coming to church! She is from a part member family, and is nervous to ask her parents for permission to take the missionary discussions because her mom is not a member, and has no desire to be a part of the church. But the daughter loves coming and knows that this church is true!

Thursday: Planning...then we went out with Shelly and taught Santos...he was busy, but he want to visit with us so he worked on a steamer while we talked...don't ever do that...the Spirit isn't there and he started talking about random things! We did talk about how his Heavenly Father loved him,  how He gave us families, and Prophets. Then he asked if we believed in aliens...REALLY!?!?! We left him a Restoration Pamphlet to read and we pray that he will read it!

Friday: zzzzz......zzzzzzz.....so tired.....we woke up at 5 to go get our phone because we left it at the Smith Higgins house the night before...we had a meeting at 7:30...so we thought....but it was at 8:30...We got Tiwi's in the cars (it is a computer thing that tells you to drive safer) We didnt get Tiwi's on our bikes! haha but we did have to go to the conference! It was so powerful! We talked about the Elminio that is coming :) That means that it will rain on and off 2-3 days out of the week from December to February! :D I can't wait! We talked about what we can do to make the Sabbath a Delight for our investigators! Then we got back home around 5:30 and went to dinner with Sister Young and had a lesson with Troy and Arisha. then went home and slept!!!

Saturday: We woke up so exhausted! We cleaned the church, went to studies and then Sister Williams went out with us! We tried 4 potential investigators and no luck! We went to this one house and some kids were running around. They stopped and talked to us and the little boy (8-10 years old) asks me, "Are you Cinderella?" I didn't realize what he said until a few minutes after haha but it was so cute and it made me feel good! Then we went to go see if we could help with an Eagle Scout Project, but when we got there they were done and starting to eat lunch...so we ate lunch haha :) and walked down the mountain visited a few less actives. Took a bathroom brake at Sister Sartains...as we were visiting with her we almost fell asleep! We were so tired!! But we walked back down the mountain taught Troy at the Park and walked home to meet our dinner appointment. We had In n out for dinner it was fun:) Sister Child is great!!  Had a few lessons after dinner, but ended up going home a few minutes early and falling asleep early....it felt nice!

Sunday: We woke up early because we had a meeting at 7. Sister Mcculloch didn't remember about the meeting so as she was getting ready she looked at the clock and saw that it said 6:30! She was a little upset until I told her that we had a meeting at 7 haha :) it was funny! In the meeting we talked about how each of us have a park in helping the missionary work grow! I realized during this meeting that the only reason the church does activities is to have members bring their non-member friends come and feel the spirit! it's cool! :D Then we walked and walked after church....I am just exhausted!!

Wow It looks like a lot happened this week! A lot of spiritual strength and faith building! I know that My Savior lives and loves me and the people here in Corona :) I love hearing from you all! Hope you have a great week!!

OH and I almost forgot! a few weeks ago I held a lizard and a star fish!

5,4,3,2,1 BANG!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYSON AND RODNEY!!!!

This week has gone by so slow! The days have been so busy, yet hardly anything happened!

Tuesday: We had Zone Development Meeting. It started at 10:30 and went tell 1:15...then Elder Puskus (car coordinator) came and did a training on car stuff....so we got home at 2:30! ate lunch then went to a members house which was all the way up the hill! at 3:30! It was so hot! then down to Bishop's house where we got ice cream and water :) Then we taught a less active family which went well! We taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ like stepping stones ( I feel like I did that talk at one of my nephew's Baptism. We ate dinner then went to the Book Of Mormon class! No one came so we ran down to a members house, then to the family history center!

Wednesday: We had old People day!! But it rained!!! haha we were just finishing visiting the older people and it started to poor!! We were on foot so a member came and picked us up, but when we got home it was done raining....apparently it was left over rain from a tsunami in Mexico or something.....but we went back out! We went and tried a potential Investigator, but she was sick!

Thursday: Planning again :D We went and tried to teach Arisha, but found the whole Smith/Higgins family home! weird! so we taught them and then went back home to plan :) We also went out with a member who bought us frozen lemonade :) it was good! then we had dinner and did some service for the girls in Africa! It was amazing! then we went back to the Smith/Higgins family :D

Friday: 9/11- (D&C pg 119, vs 9-11...then look at the day that Joseph Smith wrote the Revelation) Also it was exactly one year today that I received my call!! crazy how time flies! We taught the Plan of Salvation to the Smith/Higgins. then then Sister Wilbert went out with us and we were able to go teach Santos! We talked about the Plan of Salvation and it went well! Next we will talk about Joseph Smith and how the Priesthood is restored :D After dinner with the Chase family Sister Mcculloch had a great idea to start a mission cook book! We are going to start asking member to print out a copy of their recipes, so that when we go home we will have a big book of mission food :D Can't wait to start!!

Saturday: We did service for a group called Inter faith project. We were at the Corona Heritage park and we got to paint a barn :) It reminded me of the Saturday of Conference when we were painting at Grandpa Moore's and the Prophet changed the age for missionaries! We went and saw Sister Romero :) We got to meet her sister from Provo Utah! then we walked to Martina's and then ran to dinner!

Sunday: So during Studies I prayed to Heavenly Father to guide my studies. I found a talk by President Ezra Taft Benson on Pride. I loved it! I recommend it to everyone!! Then in Church we talked about that same thing in Relief Society! Then we walked all around :) It was good! We got lost a little....but in the end we found our way back home :)

Today: We tie dyed Shirts :) and played volley ball! It was awesome! Sorry about last Monday...I got a sunburn and it totally drained me! I was so tired! But I know that the Lord blesses us for our hard work! Tuesday we get to go to the temple! and then we have a meeting on Friday, so we will hardly have time next week to teach! haha but I can't wait! Love you all!!!

Success!!!

Kinda a slow, but short week! But we finally got a few investigators! We were able to email at the family history center because the Library was closed! Go Hooper Tomato Days!!

Tuesday: Okay so we have been walking so much that I got my first blister!!! I am almost 9 months in and I got my first blister! What is that all about?!? haha We taught the Brown family. We have been teaching their family every Tuesday because their son is turning eight  soon, and we needed the practice. We taught the ten commandments and it went really well!

Wednesday: So this was pretty much amazing! We sent a text to Zoey (her dad is a member, she is 12 and not a member. but her dad doesn't want to go back to church) telling her that the Young Women were playing volley ball and that she should go! She CAME!! WHAT!! and her dad stayed the whole time! He still isn't ready to come back, but he said that if she wanted to come that he would support her!

Thursday: It kinda hit me today that I am almost nine months in....like half way there....what!! We planned...and planned some more.....like a lot of planning......then we went to dinner which went way too long! :(  But on the plus side I now know how to make a rose out of paper :) and a picture box!

Friday: I got a Back to School Package from my sister Andrea :) I loved it! We walked from 11-4:30 and no English speaking people in sight! I really need to start studying Spanish because this is so dumb! We taught Troy Friday night as well and man he is really seeing the Lord bless his life!

Saturday: We went and tried some Former Investigators with Sister Jackman! Which what brings me to Success!!! We picked up two new investigators named Santos and David! Santos doesn't understand his purpose and just wants to be with his family again in the spirit world! :( We are so excited to teach him.

Sunday: We were walking and some random guy stops us in the street! We talk to him about how he wants to please God. We shared the Because He lives video. and we plan on teaching him again on Friday.

Well I hope that you all have a great week! We played baseball today :D So fun! Love you all! Sorry there wasn't much to this email.. :/

Sunny In Cali :D

Seems like such a hot week! But we lived :D haha Our spirits great and we look forward to a great week!!

Monday: okay last Monday it seemed like we got nothing done! After we were done emailing we went to get new bike tires because we got 3 flats last week.... :/ and we are officially a bike only area! haha so we went there then we went to lunch. After Lunch we said good bye to Sister Bjork :( She was serving in the Spanish ward. She worked so hard and had a great enthusiastic personality! So then we were in a trio for about an hour and a half.....so we didn't get much done at the apartment because we had a dinner appointment soon after...oh well! haha :)

Tuesday: We set a side time to fix our bikes. I had one flat and Sister Mcculloch had 2 flats. I felt so proud of me because I fixed the tire all by myself! The pump was giving me trouble, but Sister Mcculloch figured it out :)   So after we fixed the bikes we were finishing lunch and then we heard "POP....(air blowing)" yes....Sister Mcculloch's back tire popped again!!! that was the 3rd tire she had to buy too! So we walked to Sister Young's to see if she could drive us to 6th street to get to the bike shop. The guys fixed it for her, and by that time it was time for dinner.....crazy missionary life!!!

Wednesday: Old People Day :) So Sister Burris (Spanish missionary) came out with us because her companion had to go to Riverside for a trainer meeting :) Also Eliza went out with us so we went on splits! I went with Eliza to old people day and it was so much fun! Most of them were sleeping...and we found out that one passed away :( But we got ice cream so that was good :D

Thursday: Planning day!! Everyone should really try having one day of planning the week out for 3 hours....you really get a lot more done in the week when you plan everything in detail! We also had DDM....we introduce our companions and man the Elders come up with some really random things to say bout your companion.....haha :D We had a team up later that night with a return missionary. She has been home for 4 months and I just love her! No one answered, but She is so fun!!!

Friday: Sad start off......we went to a funeral.....I broke down and just started to cry! I didnt even know the man very well, but it is just the family curse I guess.....big red eyes and all! After that and lunch we went off to work in 110 Degree Heat!!! :D We went to go visit Vicky, with Eliza. We road all the way down there and she didnt answer the door....(found out later that she just didnt hear us because she is really deaf!) So we went to go try a couple of other people. I ride off and then I hear Sister Mcculloch say, "Sister Moore!" I turn around and......she got another flat.....So we called Eliza's mom and she came picked us up and road all over Corona to find a new bike shop place! It took us two hours! haha :) Crazy California Traffic......Then dinner with Sister Young! She gave us so much food!! she fed us so much then she sent us home with a big cooler full of taco stuff, pie, ice cream! Seriously! SO much food! We hardly had to buy anything this week! Then she took us to the store to buy us a small 1 dollar watermelon, but she didnt just buy watermelon....she bought oranges, peaches, and cantaloupe.....I just love her!! We then Taught Troy. He was so tired though! haha his family is great! We are going to try and play baseball with their family next Monday!

Saturday: We got in with Vicky :) I love her and we committed her to coming to just Sacrament meeting next Sunday!! I sure hope she comes :D We got 3 referrals from a member and we are so excited to go visit these people! We are doing that tonight :) we also had dinner with the Spanish Sisters because they didnt have a dinner appointment either :) We had tacos because we had so much left over! and pie and ice cream :) ha it was so fun!!!

Sunday: We taught a Part-member/Less active family before church....they didnt end up coming, but they love us coming over! We went over and walked with Troy to church which was fun! He was in his suit jacket and black glasses and I felt that he was like our body guard haha :) Then in church we learned about how we receive revelation. We watched a video from Elder Bednar and it was amazing! If you don't know how the spirit talks to you then ask God and he will show you! so cool!

This mission as truly changed me for the better! I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know more now how much they love us, how desperately I want to serve them, and how much I want to help others come unto Christ! It all starts with Faith and how we need to have faith in Christ because it is through Him that we are blessed, saved, and feel forgiveness :)  I love this gospel and I love all of  you! Hope you had a great week!

Love,
Sister Moore

Transfers...Sister Moore is staying in Corona

Sun Shine Blessed Sun Shine :)

It was a little cooler this week, but September is the really hot month! So being on bike and have some investigators at the top of the hill will be interesting....haha pray for us! Oh and I am here for another six weeks! Survived another transfer call haha ;)

Tuesday: We had lunch with a part member family. This family is so adorable! Their little boy is only 11 months old and flirted with us all the time! They Invited us to their son's birthday party and we are so excited to go! After lunch we rushed down to Vicky's house! We visited with her for 30 min. which is a record for her! Right before we left Vicky gave a doll to Sister Mcculloch :) It was a baby dressed as a frog! haha it was so funny! It sings twinkle twinkle little star and it just is the creepiest thing ever haha :) After that we ran up the hill to meet with The Relief Society President :) It went so well! We were there longer than we thought, but hey we got a few names of people that we can visit so that will be good :) Then we had dinner with the Smith/Higgins family :) We love them! They are the best! Then Sister Smith took us to an appointment..but he didn't answer the door.....we saw the tv on and we heard you walking around! Darn people! Just tell me you don't want Jesus in your life and I will move on to the next person! HAHA :) But really.....

Wednesday: We went on splits :) I went with Sister Clemmer and Sister Mcculloch went with Sister Coy. We visited a lot of Potential Investigators with little luck, but Sister Clemmer and I got in with our Investigator Maria! She is 16 and we were really worried about her! But when we taught Maria on Wednesday she told us, "I already know it's true. I don't need to pray about it. Can my cousin come to church with me?" YES YES YES!!!!!!!! It was awesome! We told her we would come by during the week and have her meet one of the young women so she would know some people :) It was just awesome! Then we got to visit with the older people in the ward :) Then we walked/speed walked to dinner! It took us an hour to get to dinner! Which was with a part-member family and they invited us over again for family night!!!!!!! The work is looking up :) After that we met with our bishop. He is so awesome! He does so much for us!

Thursday: We planned....it took us a little longer than normal because we really wanted to get every detail out of the way so that night planning will only take 15-30 mins. So far so good :) We walked forever with no results, but that's okay :) we planned some more then went to a members home, then ran home! haha okay not quite ran,but close!

Friday: We walked 4 1/2 hours! from 12:30- 5 pm! Taught Troy again haha and Arisha was back! Have no idea how long she will stay, but we will see :) We also taught Ruben. There are really no words to describe Ruben....haha :)

Saturday: What a day! It was the day of Transfer calls and we heard that so many people getting moved around we were worried, but we are both staying thank goodness! So we went on a team up with Sister Jachmann and we went to a man's house who requested a bible. We went to his door, told him we didn't have one right with us, but we will get it to him soon.....that's when it all started....the bible bashers.....he gave us scriptures to read, we left him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it so we will see haha :) Then we went with Eliza to see Maria..... :( we went to her house and her dad said she wasn't there, but she left us a note.....we read it in the car......she said that she can't meet with us anymore for personal reasons....but we think it is the parents.....and she wasn't coming to church :( it was tough all day!  We also helped a member pack up and move a little then we had dinner with the Spanish Sisters :) So fun! We all got blessings that night as well. It is so nice to have Elders here that truly follow the spirit, because he tole me exactly what I needed to hear!

Sunday: No one was at church...we thought our new part member family was all here...but only the member and their son came to church...better than nothing! We had 4 less actives come to church this Sunday we were so excited!!!

Well that was really about it....haha kinda a long week but so powerful! The Lord is totally blessing us and I can't wait to see what next week has in store for us :) Love ya'll!!!
