Sunny In Cali :D

Seems like such a hot week! But we lived :D haha Our spirits great and we look forward to a great week!!

Monday: okay last Monday it seemed like we got nothing done! After we were done emailing we went to get new bike tires because we got 3 flats last week.... :/ and we are officially a bike only area! haha so we went there then we went to lunch. After Lunch we said good bye to Sister Bjork :( She was serving in the Spanish ward. She worked so hard and had a great enthusiastic personality! So then we were in a trio for about an hour and a half.....so we didn't get much done at the apartment because we had a dinner appointment soon after...oh well! haha :)

Tuesday: We set a side time to fix our bikes. I had one flat and Sister Mcculloch had 2 flats. I felt so proud of me because I fixed the tire all by myself! The pump was giving me trouble, but Sister Mcculloch figured it out :)   So after we fixed the bikes we were finishing lunch and then we heard "POP....(air blowing)" yes....Sister Mcculloch's back tire popped again!!! that was the 3rd tire she had to buy too! So we walked to Sister Young's to see if she could drive us to 6th street to get to the bike shop. The guys fixed it for her, and by that time it was time for dinner.....crazy missionary life!!!

Wednesday: Old People Day :) So Sister Burris (Spanish missionary) came out with us because her companion had to go to Riverside for a trainer meeting :) Also Eliza went out with us so we went on splits! I went with Eliza to old people day and it was so much fun! Most of them were sleeping...and we found out that one passed away :( But we got ice cream so that was good :D

Thursday: Planning day!! Everyone should really try having one day of planning the week out for 3 hours....you really get a lot more done in the week when you plan everything in detail! We also had DDM....we introduce our companions and man the Elders come up with some really random things to say bout your companion.....haha :D We had a team up later that night with a return missionary. She has been home for 4 months and I just love her! No one answered, but She is so fun!!!

Friday: Sad start off......we went to a funeral.....I broke down and just started to cry! I didnt even know the man very well, but it is just the family curse I guess.....big red eyes and all! After that and lunch we went off to work in 110 Degree Heat!!! :D We went to go visit Vicky, with Eliza. We road all the way down there and she didnt answer the door....(found out later that she just didnt hear us because she is really deaf!) So we went to go try a couple of other people. I ride off and then I hear Sister Mcculloch say, "Sister Moore!" I turn around and......she got another flat.....So we called Eliza's mom and she came picked us up and road all over Corona to find a new bike shop place! It took us two hours! haha :) Crazy California Traffic......Then dinner with Sister Young! She gave us so much food!! she fed us so much then she sent us home with a big cooler full of taco stuff, pie, ice cream! Seriously! SO much food! We hardly had to buy anything this week! Then she took us to the store to buy us a small 1 dollar watermelon, but she didnt just buy watermelon....she bought oranges, peaches, and cantaloupe.....I just love her!! We then Taught Troy. He was so tired though! haha his family is great! We are going to try and play baseball with their family next Monday!

Saturday: We got in with Vicky :) I love her and we committed her to coming to just Sacrament meeting next Sunday!! I sure hope she comes :D We got 3 referrals from a member and we are so excited to go visit these people! We are doing that tonight :) we also had dinner with the Spanish Sisters because they didnt have a dinner appointment either :) We had tacos because we had so much left over! and pie and ice cream :) ha it was so fun!!!

Sunday: We taught a Part-member/Less active family before church....they didnt end up coming, but they love us coming over! We went over and walked with Troy to church which was fun! He was in his suit jacket and black glasses and I felt that he was like our body guard haha :) Then in church we learned about how we receive revelation. We watched a video from Elder Bednar and it was amazing! If you don't know how the spirit talks to you then ask God and he will show you! so cool!

This mission as truly changed me for the better! I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know more now how much they love us, how desperately I want to serve them, and how much I want to help others come unto Christ! It all starts with Faith and how we need to have faith in Christ because it is through Him that we are blessed, saved, and feel forgiveness :)  I love this gospel and I love all of  you! Hope you had a great week!

Love,
Sister Moore

Transfers...Sister Moore is staying in Corona

Sun Shine Blessed Sun Shine :)

It was a little cooler this week, but September is the really hot month! So being on bike and have some investigators at the top of the hill will be interesting....haha pray for us! Oh and I am here for another six weeks! Survived another transfer call haha ;)

Tuesday: We had lunch with a part member family. This family is so adorable! Their little boy is only 11 months old and flirted with us all the time! They Invited us to their son's birthday party and we are so excited to go! After lunch we rushed down to Vicky's house! We visited with her for 30 min. which is a record for her! Right before we left Vicky gave a doll to Sister Mcculloch :) It was a baby dressed as a frog! haha it was so funny! It sings twinkle twinkle little star and it just is the creepiest thing ever haha :) After that we ran up the hill to meet with The Relief Society President :) It went so well! We were there longer than we thought, but hey we got a few names of people that we can visit so that will be good :) Then we had dinner with the Smith/Higgins family :) We love them! They are the best! Then Sister Smith took us to an appointment..but he didn't answer the door.....we saw the tv on and we heard you walking around! Darn people! Just tell me you don't want Jesus in your life and I will move on to the next person! HAHA :) But really.....

Wednesday: We went on splits :) I went with Sister Clemmer and Sister Mcculloch went with Sister Coy. We visited a lot of Potential Investigators with little luck, but Sister Clemmer and I got in with our Investigator Maria! She is 16 and we were really worried about her! But when we taught Maria on Wednesday she told us, "I already know it's true. I don't need to pray about it. Can my cousin come to church with me?" YES YES YES!!!!!!!! It was awesome! We told her we would come by during the week and have her meet one of the young women so she would know some people :) It was just awesome! Then we got to visit with the older people in the ward :) Then we walked/speed walked to dinner! It took us an hour to get to dinner! Which was with a part-member family and they invited us over again for family night!!!!!!! The work is looking up :) After that we met with our bishop. He is so awesome! He does so much for us!

Thursday: We planned....it took us a little longer than normal because we really wanted to get every detail out of the way so that night planning will only take 15-30 mins. So far so good :) We walked forever with no results, but that's okay :) we planned some more then went to a members home, then ran home! haha okay not quite ran,but close!

Friday: We walked 4 1/2 hours! from 12:30- 5 pm! Taught Troy again haha and Arisha was back! Have no idea how long she will stay, but we will see :) We also taught Ruben. There are really no words to describe Ruben....haha :)

Saturday: What a day! It was the day of Transfer calls and we heard that so many people getting moved around we were worried, but we are both staying thank goodness! So we went on a team up with Sister Jachmann and we went to a man's house who requested a bible. We went to his door, told him we didn't have one right with us, but we will get it to him soon.....that's when it all started....the bible bashers.....he gave us scriptures to read, we left him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it so we will see haha :) Then we went with Eliza to see Maria..... :( we went to her house and her dad said she wasn't there, but she left us a note.....we read it in the car......she said that she can't meet with us anymore for personal reasons....but we think it is the parents.....and she wasn't coming to church :( it was tough all day!  We also helped a member pack up and move a little then we had dinner with the Spanish Sisters :) So fun! We all got blessings that night as well. It is so nice to have Elders here that truly follow the spirit, because he tole me exactly what I needed to hear!

Sunday: No one was at church...we thought our new part member family was all here...but only the member and their son came to church...better than nothing! We had 4 less actives come to church this Sunday we were so excited!!!

Well that was really about it....haha kinda a long week but so powerful! The Lord is totally blessing us and I can't wait to see what next week has in store for us :) Love ya'll!!!

112 Degrees In Corona :D and NO car :( HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! (last Wednesday)

Tuesday: We had ZDM (Zone development meeting) and that was awesome! President Mullen surprised us with a visit. He talked to us about how we can make Corona better and work harder! IT was very motivational! After ZDM we had a late lunch with the Relief Society President. then we had an early dinner! We hardly had anytime to do anything! It was crazy haha :) But hey it was amazing!

Wednesday: My dad had a birthday :) I really think he was praying that I wouldn't think about it because all day I was just work, work, work. Well Love you dad!!! Something else funny is Wednesday is old people day haha :)...I thought it was quite funny because it was my dad's birthday haha :) I LOVE YOU DAD!! We also had the opportunity to Meet with another member of the ward council. We are really trying sooooo hard to work with the ward council and it seems to be helping the ward a lot :)

Thursday: We did planning...then had a dinner with our Relief Society :) it was so fun! We got to know each other better! We are going to have an amazing week this coming week! a lot of new potentials and we are working with Part Member families and less actives :) awe I love the work!!!!!!!!

Friday: Exchanges! I was in Spanish land all day!!!!! soooooo fun :) I would totally be fine if I got transferred to Spanish...But It's whatever god wants :) I understood a lot more than I thought! During Language Study I wrote down a few sentences and practiced them :) I tried but I'm really not that great haha :) Practice, practice, practice :)

Saturday: We got a call that the Zone Leaders got in a car accident with a semi....they are fine and only got a scratch on the car, but........that means they get our car and go on bike.....yeah.....hmmm oh and Sunday it was 112 degrees......I am really nervous, but as long as I drink a lot of water I should be fine :)  This was also a day of humility....no one answered the door...we took Keri out and we talked with one man that said he would come to church some time!! So we hope to see him soon :)

Sunday: Man this letter is getting long......I learned a lot today :) Troy passed the sacrament for the first time today :D So awesome! and Sister Mcculloch and I got really close :) It was really awesome! We met with an active family in our ward. they have what we call a Family Mission Plan. In their family they sat down, and came up with daily, weekly, and monthly goals that they wanted to achieve to do missionary work. Daily goals were something like pray for a missionary experience. Weekly was have a gospel discussion with a non-member friend. and Monthly was invite a non-member to a church activity. This family came up with that all on their own! I challenge all of you as families to come up with a Family Mission Plan of your own! School is starting so it is perfect timing :) It is soooooo easy to share the gospel! We just need to make a plan and stick with it :) One of the daughters in the family would hand out for strength of youth pamphlets at school. and kids would even ask her for them!!!! So awesome :)

I hope you all had a great week :) This week went by so fast! Transfers are coming up soon.....Saturday we get the call.....but I am pretty sure we are both staying :)

I love you all :)

Corona!!! and BASEBALL!!!

WHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! We got to go to a baseball game!!!!!!!!!!!! okay keep it together.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRONSON 8-years-old!!!

Tuesday: We walked...and walked....we started walking around 7:30 pm and so many people where out!! So now we know what time Cali Peeps are home! In the morning we had District Development Meeting......Elder Camper asked me if I could do the training on Importance of Church. I shared a couple of quotes and tied it into how it is really up to us how good of an experience our investigators have at church. We need to be praying, reading, and even fasting for them to have the best experience! It all comes back to: are we prepared for the Sacrament. We, as members, should be doing our very best to prepare everyday to take the Sacrament! I always feel that I could do better...I guess that is why I trained on the subject. I really think I got more out of the training than anyone else! haha We had a great team up Tuesday night! She is a return Missionary and has been home for maybe a week! She is fantastic!!! Love having her with us even if we are finding!

Wednesday: Training meeting~ I really learned a lot! I learned that I talk waaaaayyyyyyy too much! Haha Never thought I would have to say that but it is true :) I have been working a lot this week on just shutting up and letting my amazing companion teach because she is the best teacher out of both of us! She came so prepared! She is just the best :D

Thursday: PLanning.....and more Planning....We didnt even have time to finish planning, because we had to go out and teach! There is only so long you can stay inside!!! haha So we tried....but nothing....So we went and taught Troy about the Priesthood! We took a produce bag filled it with water and tied the top. We told him that the Bag is Men. The Water is the Priesthood. When we Break commandments (or stab the bag) the Priesthood leaves man (the water falls out of the bag). He totally got it and it went so well!!! Then Sister Mcculloch my amazing companion told me a great analogy: Sleeping beauty is like the gospel/Heaven/Eternal life/next goal in the gospel. Sward-Holy Ghost. Horse- Christ. Thorns: (which Christ wore) Trials. Dragon- Devil. Seriously! I was just amazed! We need to be working with Christ to get through our trials and use the Spirit to guide us in the right direction. Once we Get off the horse(or leave Christ) we really can't get any where!!!

Friday: BASEBALL GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STORM'N Mormon Night :D The two teams playing were the storms and the giants :) it is a minor game but, it was so fun :) I will try to send pictures :) Before the game our ride picked us up early and and we made a video where we challenged the world to read the Book of Mormon. It is on facebook somewhere......look up Sister Palmer or Riverside's FB page....It is so funny! But I know that if everyone reads the Book of Mormon They will come closer to Christ! and find Salvation. We got over 1,000 views in 6 hours....kinda crazy and if you know spanish I look like an idiot...oh well we got the point across :D

Saturday: We walked....tried to teach...but no answer.....so we taught troy the restoration again. So fun :D

Sunday: We went to Church and had Sacrament. What a powerful experience! I love it! Really Church is what you make of it. You have to put effort into feeling the spirit in order for you to feel the spirit. We had a great dinner with members and they showed me a video of the inside of the Payson Temple :D WOW!!!!!!!! I love it :)

I hope you all had a great week :) I love getting mail and emails :) hope you all have a great week!! (sorry pictures arent working this week :/ hopfuly next week!!)

Exploding dish washer!!!!

Dont forget to look at our blog!!!

Well ya know just another week here in Corona.....HOT Corona!!! man riding bike is hard, but a blessing! I find that we walk and talk a lot in this area! We are going forth with faith and trust in God!

Tuesday: We had Multi-Zone. We were in a meeting from 7 Am- 4 PM man it was powerful! The Mission President talked a lot about becoming a missionary. It is important for future missionaries to become missionaries instead of go on a mission. Elder David A. Bednar talked about Becoming a missionary. He is one awesome!! and I know that This talk would have changed my out look on missionaries. We also did a roll play and I learned a lot about myself as a teacher, trainer, and companion. I learned that I really dont like silent moments....I hate those weird pauses, but it is during those weird pauses that the spirit works on the investigator. I am not the best teacher....in fact probably the worst! But I need to allow the spirit to do its job! Also I got two packages from my mom :D Thanks MOM!!! all the Elders were sad that I wouldnt share the Jam with them :) heheheheh :D
Later after the meeting we had an appointment with our new investigator Maria. She is so awesome. When we taught her....the spirit was there, but also the spirit was telling us to teach her something that we didnt prepare.....in a panic was just taught what we prepared.....DONT DO THAT!!! just follow the spirit because now we have to back track and ugh yeah....so learn from me to just follow the spirit!
After dinner that night we went and walked past a few Less Active members houses. and one family we were trying to contact for weeks was finally home! We talked with her on her lawn, and when it came time to leave we asked if we could pray with her and she said, "No, I think we are good Thanks." What!?! Who doesnt want to pray I mean really? and then she said that she wanted to take us out to dinner sometime....Some people haha I mean it is God! Why not talk to him and tell him you love him!!!

Wednesday: During that morning we went and helped Sister Young with her dogs. She had to go to the vet to get them shots. She couldnt do it by herself because they are too crazy for her... But hey Service!

Thursday: a lot of planning. We got a Refferal form the church and guess what! It was a Part member family in our ward! We went over there and the two girls were soooo nice and wanted to meet with us! So excited to meet with them! So on this day Sister Mcculloch got a package. She got it at like 3 pm and wouldnt open it tell 9:30 at night because she is so awesome like that! Well that night when we opened it...her mom gave her a suit case and locked to suitcase! Man it wasnt even my package but I was dying! It was so heavy that there had to be something in it! So I got a push pin and a safety pin and guess what........I PICKED THE LOCK!!! :D I was so proud of myself :) haha any who.....back to the work.....

Friday: We planned to go walking and talking for hours but....it got too hot and we got dehydrated..... we had plans with a less active, but had to cancel because Sister Mcculloch didnt feel well....We went to our dinner appointment with the Church family! We ate on the floor because one time I said that would be fun :) So that was a blast!!! I love that family! They have a family of 5 children, Kiry, Jessie, Emmy, Joey, and Holland. Holland is 4 almost 5 and I love her to pieces. Today I told her, " can I kidnap you?" Her eyes got big, she ran to her mom and said, "mom can I have a sleep over with the missionaries!?!?!" I told her that I would come back in about a year and kidnap her :) So now when I see her she asks, "When are you going to kidnap me???" SO CUTE!!!

Saturday: We helped our bishop with his sons wedding. Found out that their son is marrying someone that is related to a family in Hooper :) small world right!! Marget Houton is who they are related too! haha crazyness!!! Oh and Saturday was Elder (white) Frost's Birthday! okay we have a Samoan Frost and a White frost, so he is White Frost. So we made him a cake and bought everyone frosties in our complex plus the spanish sisters :) We went to his house and sang Happy Birthday :) and to be funny we had brown frosties with a little bit of white on top :) So funny! I was dying :) haha

Sunday: ......bad news first......we got broken up with on the phone......we lost a family that was investigating the church.....on the plus side we got a referral from a member that sounds promising...
Sacrament: I was feeling kinda down today, almost guilty.... for some reason I woke up with heavy shoulders. I prayed and prayed, read and read.....But I still couldnt get rid of this feeling.... and then I picked up the piece of bread. and it changed everything. It was right after I took the bread starting reading my Scriptures again and I felt every feeling of guilt, pain, or sorrow went away! The power of taking the sacrament is real! I am not perfect, I mess up all the time. Satin was really trying to get me down, but because I prayed and studied My savior brought joy and piece into my day!

The Lord is my light By Elder Quentin L. Cook: We must be rooted in Jesus Christ! We must also be humble and follow him in everyday life!

The Music of the Gospel By: Elder Anderson: " 'I can teach you to dance,' he said, 'but you have to hear the music.' " As a missionary I am going out and teaching people how to dance, and more importantly I am teaching them how to listen to the music! It is important for all of us to hear to music and know how to dance to it. We all have times where we dont understand a commandment, or a guideline, but as long as we keep dancing and look for the music, it will come!

I love you all and I hope you all had a great week! I love hearing from you!!! LOVE THE LORD!!!!!!!
