Just another Sick day :D

So yeah this week has been kinda full of sick days...but that is okay! Because the Lord is teaching us patience....I will get better one day! I have decided that this is the last time I will ever be sick on the mission! so that will be great!

Tuesday: ZDM was so great! They read the best poem ever! Look it up because I can't! It is called I will find you my friend! It made one elder cry...it is pretty good! We taught Jim today...his testimony is growing so strong! I love this gospel! It is amazing!

Wednesday: Well Sister Rodriguez was sick...so she slept all day...and I read the whole Ensign! It is a really good one if you haven't read it. Well I did skip one article....it was on dating and I didn't feel that I could benefit from it....dating is weird.....

Thursday: We went up to Idyllwild and did some service! It was so great! The spirit is so strong with the Salvation Army! I love it! We tried some people up there...and we met David :) He is so cool! He said we could come back and he might even come to church on the 1st! I hope he does! We also met with a really stubborn less active...yeah...really stubborn, but we read with him Enos. And I said something like, "Enos prayed so much because he wanted to change and he wanted to progress in the gospel. We all should be like this! We all should be praying and asking God what we should do next to become better." Then he said, "well what do I need to do?" Sister Rodriguez said, "Well you are already baptized, and you have the Aaronic Priesthood, What is next" he said, "the Melchizedek." "I'm not doing that!" So then we talked about how the Lord won't give us anything that we can't handle. I read Ether 12:27 and we challenged him to prepare for the Melchizedek Priesthood and to call the Elders Quorum President. He talked to him the next day! I am so excited! He is really great, just stubborn! We then went on exchanges...my camera died...so I don't have very many pictures.... sorry!

Friday: I was with Sister Blanchard and it was so great! I love her so much! She served up here in Anza last transfer, so she knows a lot about the area. It was so nice. We met with Jim, and he was great. Then we had lunch With Bro. O. and then we had a lesson with April whom is Buddhist..she is so sweet and said we could come back! We had dinner with an amazing family! They Boyeds! I love them so much! Then we taught Zach and Ryan. Zach just got baptized, and Ryan is his cousin. Ryan is 9 years old and wants to be baptized! He is so great!

Saturday: We were only able to see Jim...which is great, but he was kinda having a rough day...well it is good to have challenging days!

Sunday: I had to speak in Idyllwild, and Sister Rodriguez had to be in Anza because Zach was getting confirmed! So splits we go!  I was really sad to miss Zach getting confirmed, but it's okay...I heard that he had the best experience ever and he gets to receive the priesthood next week! AWE :D and then my talk went well, but after I sat down...I didn't feel good...so we came home...fell asleep...3 hrs later we got up and taught a lesson....and then I came back home and went to sleep.....

Monday: everyone in our Zone went hiking in Idyllwild...but we had to stay back because well I am sick....dumb....but I will hopefully get better! I have been sleeping a lot and medication is amazing!

Well I hope you all had the best week ever!

Love
Sister Moore

..60-Randy looks really confused as to how I could suck so bad haha

Mud Puddles, Must Follow the Spirit, Multi-Zones, Mouse Murder, and Baptizing Mountain Nations!

Well this week was really full of Following the Spirit! Awe where to even begin :)
Monday: I learned Parcor!! I can now roll on the ground and not hurt myself too bad :) haha it was fun! I will send an email just of Parcor Randy teaching me. Be sure to zoom in close on Randy's face because really it says it all! So funnny! talk about disappointment

Tuesday: We had Multi-Zones and it was a lot of fun! I had to Roll play with President Mullen because I lost at noes-goes.... :./ but I lived!  Also we won car inspections! :D After we had Multi-Zones we had to go shopping because we were already down there. But doing so we were running late for dinner! I felt so bad that we were an hour late! I was so tired and couldn't even think! But We went and ate a 30 min dinner and then went to teach Kyle. He is so great! I love this kid! he is 22 and is so amazing! He really wants to get close to God again. at one point during the Lesson he teared up and said, "I know that the Book of Mormon is True." AWE It was so amazing!

Wednesday: Crazy day.... We taught the Scouts and they let us teach the last 15 mins...and their intention span was shot! Man I know how to work with kids and trying to get them to sit for 15 mins after giving them sugar doesn't work! However, we taught them how to pray. Later in the week we talked to Brother Foleono (our Branch Mission Leader) and he said that one of the scouts (that isn't a member) came over to his house to play with his son. When it was time for dinner they asked if someone would like to say the prayer. The little scout said, "I want to say the prayer! I learned how to pray!" Awe it was so great!

Thursday: We planned...and cut planning short because we had to teach Zach! We haven't been able to meet with him in a while and with his Baptism on the 17th we were really worried about him....We talked about the big commitment that he is making and he felt ready and the Spirit testified to me that he was ready. It was such a great experience! Which was exactly what we needed because two people dropped us this day...it was hard....but I know that the Lord is preparing people for us to find!
So we walked...and walked....and walked....and walked...and walked...and walked....and you guessed it we walked!!! We were so tired and we were already running late for dinner....but the spirit just kept prompting us to keep walking. and No the Primary children did Not sing as we walked! as we got to the top of the hill we saw a locked gate...We wanted to cry....but instead we took some sad selfies and turned around and walked back. As we were walking we were talking about why we needed to go up there...and we came to three conclusions. 1- God wanted us to prove Him that we will follow Promptings of the Spirit. 2-Maybe we weren't suppose to be some where, so Heavenly Father was just keeping us safe. 3- (this idea was from Sister Rodriguez) Maybe we had to walk all that way so that we could meet someone on the way down....not even 10 mins later we met LaLo :D he is Spanish Speaking so we had to pass him over. However I still contacted him with my best Spanish skills and I think he understood! I was able to ask for his name and yeah :) it was so amazing to see the Lord use us :D

Friday: We started teaching a Buddhist lady. She is really sweet! then we taught a man that just lost his mother....so he really wanted us to come back! and Zach is all ready for baptism!

Saturday: we had a women's stake conference thing. Our mission President's wife came. I love Sister Mullen so much! She is so great! we then came back to Anza and taught a stubborn less active.....some people's children....we also caught a mouse :) and killed it! I wish we could have a cat....

Sunday: ZACH GOT BAPTIZED!!!! It was so great! it only took 30 mins! I had to play the piano and I really could use an easy hymn book....I messed up....ugh! I am the only one that knows how to play though....so they use what they have! We had a potluck after and it was so amazing! AWE :D I love helping people come closer to Christ!!!

This week was really a great week! So much happened!

I love ya'll so much! hope you have the best week ever! Stay Close to Christ!

Love,
Sister Moore

Pictures

I'm not sure why they put us together in a white truck in Anza, but we have had a lot of fun this week :)

Anza and Idyllwild!

It is so crazy covering two branches! We can only go two times a month to Idyllwild because it is like a 45 min drive to get there and yeah..miles...haha but it turned out to be a great week!

Tuesday: This Tuesday was the first Tuesday that I didn't go to DDM! It was so weird! We only go down every other week so that we can save miles! and yeah :) have I told ya'll yet that we use a lot of miles! We saw a miracle this day! we talked to 16 people! That is the most I have talked to up here :D it was so great! and then we found hats in the closet at the end of the day :D pretty fun stuff!

Wednesday: This day was so cool! So our Branch Mission Leader set us up to teach the scouts so that they can get their faith in God award! so awesome! We weren't really sure what to teach, but we figured out that next week we will start with faith and help the kids really understand how to communicate with God :D It will be awesome! Oh and we get to do this every week until who knows how long! and after that we taught a Bible class. Which Consisted of us and and a member that only speaks Spanish :) it was great haha she read in Spanish and we read in English....yeah I might be able to understand a lot more when I am home...because I am getting a lot of practice!

Thursday: instead of planning on this day we went up to Idyllwild :) It is so beautiful! But people move up there to get away from people, so it is really hard to do missionary stuff! but we were able to meet with one investigator Karson! He is really sweet! The building is so little up there too :)

Friday: We planned....and then we tried a potential who told us to come back after she was off the phone, so we went and tried a couple of people and then went back, but she was still on the phone so we scheduled another appointment for Friday. after dinner we taught a member that had been out of town for a while! She is 70 and for her birthday her husband gave her a chainsaw! So funny I almost died! The husband used to live in Utah and knows where Hooper is :D it was pretty great :D

Sat: We had a Branch Fast for Missionary work! It was so great! awe :) But first during the day we taught Jim who just got baptized. He is so amazing! He was trying to tell a guy that lives in his same trailer park that Jesus is there for him, and that all he needs to do is pray. Then he stopped in the middle of his story and said, "I have really changed a lot sense you girls have been coming over, Thank you!" AWE :D We then asked if we could go over to see that guy and he said, "He isn't very nice to me or my friends. So I don't want to send you over there because you might get hurt." AWE JIM!!! So then We took a selfy :) after that we walked and tried a lot of people! but...no luck...and then we went to the Pot luck to break our fast with everyone! It was so great! I love the people here!

Sunday: We chose to go to Idyllwild because the missionaries haven't been there in over a month! So we came and in the branch there was about 18 people including speakers and us! They were so excited to see us, and the Branch President seemed really excited that we were there! We are hopefully going to go up there more than what we have been because there are people up there being prepared! We came back down the mt. and tried many people, but not much luck...we ended up meeting with a resent convert named Lynn! She is so cute! She loves us coming over!

Well I love ya'll and hope you have a great week!

Hope you like the pictures!

ANZA LIFE!!

Oh my goodness Anza life is so much different than any where else I have served! As you will see in the pictures it is pretty much farm country! I love it! So much has happened, and I was kinda in a culture shock because I didn't know how to do missionary work, but Sister Rodriguez is helping me and I am so grateful she is my companion! oh yeah and I found out that I am not going to be a Sister Training Leader, which is good because we have so much work up here to do and so little time! I am so excited for this adventure

Monday: Was the most exhausting day ever! I was ready to pass out! Also I am really glad that Sister Rodriguez knows where she is going, because if it were up to me I would be getting lost! Any who Pretty much Monday was full of packing and unpacking and getting to know our ward mission leader....come to find out he knows a family that is from Hooper :) and it happens to be someone that I know! Small world after all :D

Tuesday: I met a few of our Investigators and I found out that we have a baptism on Sunday! His name is Jim and  he is so sweet! His brother is coming from St. George and he hasn't seen him in over 10 years! Awe so great!

Wednesday: So the biggest thing that happened was we went to a members house, and she hardly spoke English....So my little Spanish Skills were coming in..I might be able to hold a conversation one of these days! She said that we should teach an English class. That would be so great for all of the people here! there are 7,900 people in Anza and some don't speak English and so I think this would be a great finding tool! I am really excited to get that going!

Thursday: We planned....I am learning a lot about the people, but I need to see their faces! It will all come in time! I did get to meet Zach on of our Investigators. he is 18 and is going to be baptized on the 17th! He can't wait!

Friday: We drove 45 min. to get to District Development Meeting :D it was such a beautiful drive! oh my goodness! But with the meeting and drive time it took us 3 1/2 hours to get back home and start working! Good thing we only go down the hill every other week!

Saturday: Conference was amazing! I loved it so much! It was only us and the high council guy that was watching it with us in Anza and it was so nice :) but I wish we could have gotten people there! oh well! we were able to do service and that was a lot of fun! we got to wear great hats...but I forgot to bring my camera :/ it was so fun! Then we went to teach Jim. He is so great! oh and a great story!! So there is a member that assigned herself to be a visiting teacher to a guy that had is record removed...she goes to see him faithfully! and Saturday was his birthday and Eric's Birthday! :D My nephew turned 12! Awe! I can't believe it! oh man :) oh sorry back to my story so this member got a text from the guy she goes to visit teach and it said, "could you give me the missionaries phone number? I want start taking the lessons again and my girlfriend does too!" WHAT!!!!! So no matter what do your visiting teaching!!! it was so amazing!

Sunday: Conference was amazing! Sister Blanchard came up for Jim's baptism and because it is so far away her new companion (Sister Garlitz) Got to come too! Awe So great! The baptism was amazing and the Branch was really excited when they found out that I play the Piano...they were so excited....I am kinda scared because I don't really get a lot of time to practice.....but it's fine :) I guess this is the Lord telling me to share the few talents I have! After Jim was baptized the Branch President came out and said, "because Jim's brother is here from St. George. He will get confirmed today!" All of us missionaries kinda freaked out because it is suppose to happen during Sacrament meeting! We called our mission President and he said that he would talk to him about that....but hey! It was really great to see Jim's Brother Baptize and Confirm him :) It was so sweet!

Well I feel bad this is a long one, but all is well :) So many dogs have tried to eat me, but I am still in one piece! Love  ya'll! Hope you have a great week!

Jim is the one on the left

Sister Moore
