Happy Leap Year!!!

Just another week in sunny California! I am so tired...we did cross fit today, I already drank a Mt. Dew....and I am so tired.....I hope  a nap happens today! But who knows :D haha I hope that this week will go a little smoother.

Monday: I am just happy last Monday was over....it was just way too long, and too stressful! We lost our phone....at goodwill...but we found it after dinner thank goodness! Blessings!!

Tuesday: We tried a few people before dinner....Tedd rescheduled :( He is so awesome! then we went to interviews with President Mullen. I went first and I was so glad that it went that way! Apparently mine was longer, so everyone else started late....oops....oh well :) We had dinner at Dickey's and it was awesome! I love meat :) and potatoes :) and Bread :) awe it was amazing!!! then we did some service.

Wednesday: Most Stressful Day Ever!!! I really wanted to cry....I was just so done....we had to drive to Riverside because I broke the car and it needed to get fixed. #1 I hate that my mistake took time away from missionary work. #2 We left the mission because I didn't know where I was going.....yeah....I was just a ball of stress and I was really upset.....But we made it safe, and I wasn't killed so that is important... President Mullen called and just laughed and said, "We love you, just don't do it again." he also gave me better instructions... :) so now when we drive back to Riverside Wednesday, it won't be terrible. :) hopefully. One plus is that I got to eat the best pizza ever!

Thursday: We had District Development Meeting...then we had a nap :) Best nap ever! I so needed it after yesterday! I woke up and was ready to over come the world! after that we found out the Linda our golden investigator that is moving, cancelled  our appointment... :( It's fine! It's fine! We were really worried about her because she normally never cancels.... really tough....then we went on split and I got to teach Bear with Sister Garlitz! It went so well! I was so happy! I can't even tell you how much he has progressed in the last few months! I am so proud of him! He still has a little ways to go, but all is well :) He is working towards baptism! awe :) I was so happy at the end of that night!

Friday: the Morning was interesting...we finished studies! and then one of my companions had a followup doc appointment. So the other Companion and I made phone calls and got more studies in :) then We taught Tedd! AWE TEDD!!! He is so great! He has a really strong desire and really wants to ask Heavenly Father if the Church is true! I love him so much!!! He is in his 60's and has so many stories! He really listens when we teach and he said, "I hope I can be a good student." He is so sweet! :D

Saturday: We taught Linda in our church building...and we explained to her that other missionaries would teach her because she is moving into a different area....It was so hard! We also had the Saturday Adult Session of Stake Conference. It was so great! I got to see Sister Pielstick! I love her so much!! :D I bought her army men for her studies :) any who! Then we went home :) oh home! I love home!

Sunday: I really just can't believe how fast time goes! We introduced Linda to her new missionaries...I cried....but it's fine! I really felt like I wasn't good enough to teach her..I was praying to see how I can become better because I really just felt like I messed up....then in the Stake Conferences the General Authority said, "We take the Sacrament to become clean." I loved that! We then had studies and lunch and then tried potentials. I love this gospel! I love the Sacrament and I can't wait to prepare to take it next week!

Today....I really feel like I could pass out.....but it's all good :) I love being in the area! I really pray that I can stay here a while! Everyone is so nice and I hope that we have an even better week this week!
I love you all so much!!!

Pepper Spray!!!

Something so cool happened last monday after I wrote you all!! We called Linda and asked how her Book of Mormon Reading was going and guess what! She was In 1 Nephi 25!!!! WHAT!!!! She said that she loves it and she loves how she feels when she reads! AWE :D I love her so much!!

Tuesday: We stopped by an Investigator that we haven't been able to get in with for a while. Her name is Tua, she is Samoan and is really sweet, she was busy and we set up a return appointment. we will see what happens... Then we taught Tuila :) She is so amazing! She said that she really wanted to know if the church was true and that she would read and pray about the Book of Mormon! I love the Book of Mormon so much! If you allow it, it will change your life! We tried a lot of potentials, with little success. Then we went to dinner, as we were knocking on the door the food smelled so good! Then Supersize! Wrong house haha :) it was so funny! we still had a great dinner :) and then we had exchanges that night!

Wednesday: I was with Sister Cozzens again :) Two transfer exchanges in a row! We had so much fun and I was not as stressed which was nice :) I stayed in Valle Vista and really didn't know my way around, but that's okay because Sister Cozzens served in this area for a while so she knew the people, and how to get around! We were walking and talking and we ran into an investigator that we had a appointment with later. He has to cancel which was sad, but it meant we got a full lunch break which was really nice! I got to take a nap and it was fabulous! Then we went to a less active's house and we read from the Book of Mormon and it went really well. It was a good reminder that we teach people not lessons. It is so important for all of us to have a testimony about Jesus Christ and then Joseph Smith and then The Book of Mormon or else our testimonies crumble!  Then we taught a family that just moved into the ward :) She is excited to go back to church! Then we taught Linda :) She started talking with us about Baptisms for the dead and she loved the plan of salvation! We asked her to pray about what we were teaching her, and she really just readily excepting of everything we teach her! The Lord has defiantly prepared her for the Gospel! Then we had Dinner :) Sister Wueller (wheeler) is so funny! I lover her so much! haha :) and that ended the day of Exchanges....well we did teach a member after dinner and they are working with a friend so they can invite her to church! So cool! I missed my trio though :) they are all so much fun! and I love them and I love this ward! It is so great!

Thursday: We did our first splits :) It is really nice with a trio because all you need is one member to do twice as much work! It was so great! Sister Roberts went and taught Tua an investigator while Sister Garlitz and I went out walking and talking. It worked so well! Tua was not interested in the church, but she gave us some Samoan food :) It was good. Then we planned....and taught Brother Hoover :) He reminds me of Grandpa Moore :) I wanted to hug him, but I didnt....... :) all is well then we had dinner which was Chili and it was so good! man I'm hungry again...

Friday: We had District Development Meeting and a Stake training meeting. That took some time, and we had to combine Lunch and Companion Study....We also split up again and Sister Garlitz taught Linda with a member and Sister Roberts and I went and tried people with a recent convert that is 16 years old :) It was so much fun! Found out that Linda is in Mosiah now! I talked with her Sunday and she said that she was limiting her self to 1 chapter a day so that she doesn't run out of things to read..haha yeah :) she is so great! Then we got PizzA!!! Not just pizza :) Indian Pizza! It was so good! then we stopped and met a few more members.

Saturday: This was the day of events :) haha :) We had a lesson with a few people and then lunch with this really cute older lady. She likes us to call her grandma :) and she emails us after we leave! AWE :D and then walked and walked...and tried a few people after that then we tried a referral we received from a member. We got to the gate and there was a little latch, we undid the latch and we also saw a sign about a dog being on the property. So we rattled the gate, and nothing happened...so we went in, rang the cool Door bell, then after a few mins knocked...nothing happened...then all of a sudden a dog goes out wagging it's tail and sniffing us :) totally happy to see us. Then...She said, "You need to leave now! Those dogs are not happy you are here and nether am I. You really had to work really hard to get through that gate didn't you. Leave NOW!" That isn't word for word, but pretty much she was not very happy or very nice....so we apologized and it was clear she didn't even want to hear us out. so as we walked away Sister Roberts said, "We hope you have a better day." and then she shook her Pepper spray at us! We got in the car and I just felt so sad...I really saw that she wasn't happy and I know that the gospel could make her so happy! hopefully one day we will be able to contact her and she will be happy to hear our message. We tried a few people, but not so much luck. We went into a less actives home and I know that she really needed our help. it was so great!

Sunday: Okay I am running out of time, but it went really great! I saw Bear and it was so awesome! She should teach him this week! I love this work so much!

Love you all and hope you have a great week!

Trio Life!!!

It has been really interesting. Being in three is really not that hard in the teaching aspect, but juggling all of our differences is quite hilarious. My two companions are very into politics, and so I am really learning a lot and I laugh at some of the things they say! haha :D So far it is all a lot of fun :) I am really tired today though, and I forgot my Journal...so hopefully I can tell you all about my week and not forget anything!

Monday: Was weird. After I kinda Moved in we just hung out until the other sister came :) It was nice not being transferred as far! Once we were all together we went to dinner :) With the Bishop. I have met him before and he recognized me. I hope that is a good thing :) Then we tried a few people and got in with a less active family that seems so great! I pray they will come to church someday!

Tuesday: We went walking in the morning, and in the beginning we didn't find anyone....and we walked for a while....and then we met April! We shared with her the Video and she loved it! She then told us that she was looking for a good Church Family! AWE :D Blessings!!! It was so great to meet her! Then we taught an investigator named Tuila. She used to have a 1st edition Book of Mormon! But someone told her that she shouldn't have it because she wasn't a member...so she Sold it!!! So when the Sisters met her they gave her a copy, and it made her cry! Awe she was so sweet and I can't wait to teach her again! We then met a member and taught them a quick lesson! then we went to dinner :) Which was so good! We went out to eat at this little cafe called Abby's and I had the Banana walnut french toast! It was so sweet, but good :) then we did some service for a sister in the ward.

Wednesday: We taught a less active that is trying to figure out if Joseph Smith's account was true. She has been reading the Book of Mormon, praying. She loves when we come over and is very sweet! We then taught a new investigator! His name is Efrain :) He has a cute little family and he is also trying to find a good church family :) well I Think that this is a great church family! :D We are teaching him and his family again tonight too! Then we had dinner....can't remember what it was...Then we taught a part member family, but the no-member didn't seem too interested! I pray that one day he will see how much it will bless his life!

Thursday: planning :) It is all so different in a new area with different sisters that do things differently. :) kinda fun! one thing that didn't change was the popcorn! :D Then we taught a less active that I have met before when I went on exchanges about a year ago! Weird! Then we taught a sweet girl that is 13. She wants to be Baptized, but her mom won't let her ;/ Then we had dinner with a family of 10 children! They were all so great! then we taught an investigator....that wasn't willing to keep commitments... so we had to drop him.... One thing that I do want to share with ya'll is that if you truly want to find out if this church is the one true church, you have to read the Book of Mormon. and Ask in faith and be willing to act on the answer you get, then God will answer your prayers. Some things in the church we might not understand, but if we have a testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ, and in the Book of Mormon, Heavenly Father will answer our prayers! In the right timing!

Friday: was full of blessings! We taught an awesome Less active, then we were able to meet up with Linda :) She refereed herself on the website, and we stopped by. When she came to the door she said, "I have been praying for an answer as to where God wants me to go, and then you shop up!" She was so excited! We only had a few min to teach her so we shared with her the Christmas video, and then we are planning to see her on Sunday. Then we had dinner :) Meat, veggies, and rolls :) Then we met with a family that was recently baptized (they were baptized last week!). Their spirit is so strong! I love them already!

Saturday: We taught Janet. She has been investigating the Church for a while, and she knows it is true, but she has a few things to work out. I hope that we can help her work towards baptism. Then as we were talking Sister Roberts felt a prompting to go and stop by someone's house that used to be an investigator. We were there for an hour, but she wasn't interested. Really awesome and said we could come back any time. She said she would even feed us! We also met a member later in the day was so sweet! We got to feed her Goats haha :) it reminded me of the goats we used to have at grandma's house!

Sunday: We had a huge regional conference instead of church...so it was hard to see who was there, but I was sure to meet Bear :D He seemed excited that I was going to teach him again. Well I hope he is because I am! I hope that the Lord can use me as a tool to help him make that step! Then we taught Linda again! SHE IS SO AMAZING!!! She wanted to get baptized that day! But she then realized that she needed to learn more...and then she told us...that she was moving...she is staying in Hemet, but not in our ward....:( I was so sad! But the Lord has prepared her and I can't wait to hear about her conversion! Then we had dinner and It was fun! Italian food is so good! It was a nice change from tacos :)

Sister Garlitz and Hermana Gomez is photo bombing

Sister Roberts :D

Hope ya'll had a great week! Love you all so much!!

We had to stop and eat them so that we werent walking with them haha ;) we taught Noah again and it was really good :) He read the chapter we asked him to, and he asked about getting baptized! So he should be getting baptized by March :D then we had dinner with a lot of people! The ward here does empty nester dinner and we got to go. It was fun :) I knew so many people!

Another day with sun, rain, and wind!

Talk about a weird week! I just feel like it went by in a blink and that I was just sitting here yesterday emailing you all! I want/need time to slow down!!! AWE!!!

Tuesday: We had DDM and we had an Assistant to the President come and tell us that we were doing a great job and that he can tell we are on fire! We have been trying so hard and...no baptisms....I know that there is so much potential in this area! it is time to reflect and think about what I can do better, so that when we do find those that are ready to receive the gospel then we will be ready too! After DDM We went and got subway sandwiches and it was so good! WE went and tried a few people...but nothing....then dinner finally came! with the Kinder family! I ate so many pieces of garlic bread...man....I'm hungry.... :/ any who we went and taught a 11 year old boy named Noah (different from the last Noah). His grandmother is a member want wants both of them to learn more about the gospel! then we went to Young women New Beginnings to support a YW that was singing. She did a great job!

Wednesday: Sister Greenman came with us to a lesson with Lorenzo! It went so great! He really wanted to learn how to pray on his knees. The whole lesson was about prayer and how we can come to know our Savior and Heavenly Father more. He is just awesome! We still haven't told him that he is named after a prophet yet...but we will!! Then we had lunch with Sister Greenman and her daughter Devon. They are just the cutest family ever!! then we were off and went on splits! I went with the Relief Society President and we tried a few people, but then we got in with a less active that has been struggling. She talked with us and told us, "Thank you for making my day!" She is really sweet! We just have to get her to church! And then we went to an appointment with a different less active, we were a little late..... :/ but that's okay Sister Rogers was really nice and really wanted to come back to church. She has really bad anxiety over not knowing the building and not knowing the people there. Then the spirit whispered to me, "she needs to go on a church tour." so I said, "We can show you the building so that you know where you are going." Her face lit up and said, "I would love that!" We we set that day up and then we went to go get Sister Pielstick. We went and had a bathroom break at another less active that lives close to where we keep our bikes. Right before we left the daughter of the family that is 16 asked, "Is it possible for me to go on a mission?" AWE!!! It was awesome! She has been coming to youth activities and has loved it! She has great friends in the ward now and I hope she still plans on going on a mission! And they also gave us a Chocolate chip muffin....man I really could use a snack.... We then walked a lot! and met Lisa :) She had so many questions and wanted us to come back! Then we walked and walked....and then DINNER!!! With Cara :) I love her! She is moving to Utah for school in July or something so she promised me that she would be at my welcome home! :D I love her! any who then we went on splits again :) I went with Cara. 1st we went and sang Happy Birthday to a YW in the ward :) and then we tried a few people with little success :( no one answered except one person that really wasn't interested :/ oh well! We taught a part-member family Deserae. I love her! She promised that she would read and pray and go to church for the next two weeks! She is also planning on coming to Utah so that she can milk a cow :)

Thursday: We planned..and planned....and planned some more! Sometimes I feel like I loose my mind!! :D haha but it is all good! We just plan for so many people! Then We went and picked up Sister Rogers for her church tour with Brother and Sister Davis. It was so great! In the tour she said, "I will come this Sunday." and then we taught Rick...yeah....he kinda has ADHD and is all over the place and his language is not the best! :/ but he said we could come back and teach him! Then we made snowflakes with Sister Greenman, and then had dinner :) then we had a meeting.

Friday: We started our morning off with Service with Sister Greenman! Then we had lunch with her again :) I just love her! and then she drove us to an appointment with Noah! Our ward mission leader Brother Stegeman! He is so great! Seriously our ward is just the best! any who the lesson was kinda all over the place, but Noah is really interested! and their dog peed all over Sister Pielstick :) hehe....watch now I will get peed on this week...oh well haha :) and then we walked to the Toli's and then we had to go help our bishop figure things out for a member that is homeless, but we found her a place to stay!! Then we had dinner with the Vincents! They have only been married 6 months both return missionaries. And the Love us so much! They always want to help us, feed us (and they give us MT. Dew!) and will come out with us! Then we went on splits again! I taught Cody and that went well and then we went home.

Saturday: We woke up had studies and then had to go to a brunch for our Relief Society! They had a "Give and Get" that is where you bring old stuff you dont want and trade it for something you need/want. I GOT A BLENDER!! I was so excited and I might even bring it home! It is like a magic Bullet!! AWE !!! And then we ran to a baptism for a different ward because we thought Lorenzo was going to be here, but he had to cancel....so that was good. then we went out to lunch with Cara :) and then we had all of the missionaries come into our area and walk for an hour....but some elders were actually not in our area..but hey they found people! So that is good :) haha and then we had a lesson with Lisa...but we got there and she said, "I actually am really good with my religion right now." :( so sad! She seemed so great! and then we had dinner and then we didnt have a team up so we cleaned our car because it smelled like BO and Elders.... :/ we had to switch cars.... oh well it smells nice now :) and the cars name is Roxy :) haha

Sunday: We were sitting in Sacrament meeting and.....Cody, Richard, and Deserae came to church!! and Sister Rogers came and Noah's Grandma( but no Noah)! We were so full! We almost had to open the over flow! :D It is so great! and then we were sitting and guess what :) We got called out and we had to speak! WHAT!!! we found out when we were sitting there with people...We mad it work so It wasn't too bad haha :) and then after church it was raining so much and so windy that We couldn't ride bikes we only had enough miles to go home, and so we walked...and walked...and talked to one person! any who then we had breakfast for dinner and the best cookies ever! I love food so much....man....still hungry...then we taught Richard.

Well I love you all and hope that you have the best week ever!!! Can't believe that it is February already!! I love this area! This is the last week of Transfers and I might get moved....I hope not because I can feel a baptism coming on..We are so close!!! I love this work, and this gospel!

Love,
Sister Moore
