I love this work!

This week we were working so hard that I wasn't able to write in my journal very much, but that's okay :) I will do my best to remember what happens :) also my companion might help me out too :)

Tuesday: all of our appointments canceled besides dinner...We were also able to help out a less active prepare for a party! It was great and we were able to talk to a few non-members and really show them that we are here to serve as Christ did! Dinner was so great too! AWE :D Can't even explain how good food is!

Wednesday: was a really long day...we had to wake up early...at 6 am..it was so hard! It really shouldn't have been so hard.....but We did it! We woke up and went to a car inspection, then the missionary broadcast! all of the missionaries all around the world were watching it together (unless ya know it was while they were sleeping then they would watch it later). It was amazing! We talked about our purpose as missionaries and how we need to invite people to repent! Repentance isn't meant to be a scary thing! It is you turning towards Christ, and changing to alien your will with Heavenly Father! It was really cool too because missionaries from Ogden Utah mission were in the broadcast and had a discussion with Elder Bednar, Elder Oaks, and Elder Nielsen. Elder Nielsen came and visited our mission last year and it was so great! any who....after that we had lunch :) and then we had a Multi-zone training that always takes a few hours....so we went out and tired to teach a potential, but he forgot about the appointment.... :( So we only had dinner again but it was with the Garnavicious family! I love them! They are a part member family and They love us coming over!

Thursday: the morning I was feeling so great! I was ready to do missionary work, and take on all the bible bashers! But then...I ate the salsa...It apparently was really old...but I ate it and so then my stomach was really upset with me....so I took a 2 hr nap and then got baby sat for the rest of the day...until dinner! But while I was being missionary watched I was sharing with them scriptures, and thoughts about the gospel and all that good stuff! it was pretty funny! I think they were done with me being there haha :) it was great! Dinner was so good! I made myself eat :) and it was worth it! I didnt' through up, but my stomach was still upset...and we had to go on the reservation that night too, so yeah...we went and did some service up there and it was great!

Friday: I really started to stress out! We walked a lot! As we were biking we came up behind this lady that was on a bike and we scared her...oops.... and then we went and taught Cody, that went great, but still dont know about a baptism date yet. then we went and had dinner with a member that just moved in and it went so great! she then drove us to meet our team up for the evening. Sister Vincent :) She is a return missionary and just got married and I love her! She is so great! She really understands missionary work! I can't wait to help out missionaries when I get home! It will be amazing! We taught a new investigator that has a lot of questions, and really wants to learn. He even brought a friend to the lesson and come to find out the girlfriend was the girl that we scared and she was a member!!! :D It was so cool!! and then that night we had exchanges...what I was nervous for all week! I stayed in Mt. View and Sister P left....I just dont like change very well, but It was fine :)

Saturday: Sister Cozzins We walked and talked for 3 hrs! All of the missionaries got together and we got to walk in my old area :) It was so much fun! I ran into a few people that I had taught before and we ran into a recent convert and they just got back from the temple doing baptisms for the dead! :) and I asked them when they were going through the temple and she told me that She would tell me when it was happening because "your going to be there" :) I felt so loved and I just almost started to cry! I loved hearing that they wanted me there! after that we went back to our area and taught Lorenzo :) We brought Sister Greenman and she was so great! She really shared her testimony of the gospel with him. and She started to tear up, and then Lorenzo gave her a hug! It was so great! after that lesson we taught a potential investigator....on our way there I got lost with our member...I was just feeling so inadequate...I dont know the streets well because I just let sister p figure it out because I thought that She would be here longer than me....and I just really felt small...We walking into the lesson and we werent late thank goodness! We went and taught the Restoration. As soon as we started talking Satan really got a hold of me and tried to make me feel like nothing. Like I wasn't doing anything right, and I just really questioned why I was out here! and then we started talking about prophets....I had the warmest feeling come over and and I knew that Heavenly Father was proud of me. I knew why I was there and I knew that I was trying my best! I know that this gospel is true! I know that my Father in Heaven is there and is aware of who I am. Also the Investigator was so amazing! She accepted baptism and really was looking for the information that was lost in the bible. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she said she would read it! it was one of the best lessons that I have ever had!
Then we went to dinner :) after dinner we went and tried some less actives and then we went to drop off a copy of the Book of Mormon to a new investigator...we ran out right before we taught him....kinda felt silly! haha no worries we got more! and then we went home :) It was so great to have sister p back! I love her so much! We work so hard and well together! It will be so hard to leave this area again...and sister p.....

Sunday: was a kinda weird day....haha after church we went and walked and tried to contact a few people. we were walking and walking then we walked by some teenage kids that were playing beer pong.....and smoking pot...ya know everyone needs the gospel right!?!? So we showed them a video and then we gave them to YSA. I learned so much that day haha :) and then we contacted a referral from the spanish sisters....and he used some very colorful words.... yeah...haha he said we could come back and next time we are going to bring his neighbor that is a member :) kinda excited! Then we had dinner with the garnavicious family again:) it was so good! I love them! Desire wants to come to Utah to milk a cow :) I can't wait haha :) Then we went on the reservation so that our less active member could receive a blessing from our bishop and another member that she knew.

Over all a great week! I made bread this morning and I loved it! I hope ya'll had a great week! l love you all!!

WE ARE ON FIRE!!!

Not only did I hit my 1 year mark this week, but we really have been going and serving the Lord! I know that this work is amazing and I know that it is not me that is moving along the work. It is Heavenly Father! He loves and blesses the people here! I also know that the Lord will guide us to the people that are ready to receive the gospel! This week might be another long letter, but I promise that it will be worth it! I feel that this week has been a great spiritual experience.

Wednesday: So much happened! We walked around and randomly taught a potential investigator....but we found out that he was on parole! haha so really we cant teach him....until his parole is over and then he has "finished repenting" Later that day we taught another guy that his name is Lorenzo (no his last name isn't snow haha) and He seems like he is really interested in our church! We gave him a Book of Mormon and he got really excited and said, "A Mormon Book! I have read other Mormon Books and it talked about Hell." mind you we just got done teaching him about the plan of salvation and how we really dont really have a hell that we go too....really funny!  We had dinner with our Bishop and his wife! Normal we eat with them every Monday, but a family had to switch days so we ate with them 2 times in one week! They are so great! I can really tell that they love us, and want to serve us! Then the Bishops wife volunteered to come out with us after and we were able to visit some less actives in the ward!

Thursday: I really almost was on fire! haha :) so in the mission life some missionaries choose to burn an item of clothing at the 6 month mark, then the 9 month mark, and the year mark, and then right before they go home. I thought that I should at least burn something for my year mark! SO :) We went to the Crouch's house and they let me burn a skirt! It was a lot of fun and I realized how much I miss bonfires! They are so great! I stepped in a mud puddle though... :/ that was fun haha :) But before all of that We had to go to District Development Meeting. and we had to get our car fixed :) haha we ran over something and It put a hole in our tire haha :) so much fun! we were at 14 psi and I was worried that I would have to pull over on the side of the road and change a tire! In the dark! In the kinda ghetto! haha :) not fun! But we just drove to a gas station and filled it up so that we wouldn't ruin the tire too bad...But all got fixed! Then we planned and then we burned stuff and then we made a few visits :) It was great!

Friday: This day was so hard! We had so many plans but a lot of them fell through, and we found out that one of our investigators, the one that has special needs, might not be able to get baptized because he might be moving! :( It was really sad! We had a church tour set up, and the investigator didnt show....the one good thing is that we ate with the Crouch family :) haha yep 2 days in a row and their place! We had taco's and one of the daughters that is around our age really loves us! and she isn't a member! She is hilarious! they facebook stalked us...it was weird....Then we had them give us a ride to the Stegeman's house. We did our weekly number report and then he drove us to our car...I thought we left the phone there so we drove back to get it and...it was really just in a different pocket of my bag..SO MANY POCKETS!!! haha it was funny :)

Saturday: WE ARE ON FIRE!! along with my leg! 1st we had the greatest miracle ever! Brother Stegeman and his daughter were able to go out with us last minute! They were perfect! We first taught Jesse. He was sitting outside waiting for us! Then when we shared with him the first vision and said, "I like that." It was so great! But then we found out that he was 19....that means he goes to YSA....kinda bummed....but ya know...he was really excited! We asked him to say the closing prayer and he did a great job! He sincerely wanted to know! it what we were saying was true! It was the best prayer! Then we taught Lorenzo again. He read the entire book of 1 Nephi!!  WHAT!!! He even committed to church! AWE :D and then after that Bro Stegeman bought us ice cream :) Wendy's frostiest are the greatest after two great lessons!
After that we went and talked with a less active family that lives really close to where we keep our bikes. We found out that their grandma was passing away...it was really hard because they don't have a strong enough testimony in life after this. :( Then we walked around...not very many people were out, but there were a lot of dogs! One literally almost ate Sister Pielstick's Camera! haha it was funny! Good thing they had a fence! Then again our Bishop's wife came out with us! She saved our bacon! not really, but she really helped us find a few people that were intorested including a minister that was willing to hear more :) We will see where it goes. We also met the best Family ever! They want to come back to church for their daughter that is 4 and she is so cute! The mom works nights and really has a hard time going to church after work....but I can only hope and pray that she will come! After that we went and had Gumbo with the Crouch family :) haha I have never had it before, and it was really good! 3 days in a row with the Crouch family haha :) Then we had Dinner with the Siimalavie (we just call them Sii [se-e]) They taught us a few words in Samoan and it was a lot of fun! Bro. Sii is the best cook ever!!! Then we taught Brittney and she promised that she would come to church! We even are giving her a ride! All is well :)

Sunday: We had three Investigators at church!!!! One was Cody, Lorenzo, and Richard! yeah Richard is back! In case you forgot, we were teaching Richard, but he wouldnt read, or come to church so we had to drop him! Now he has come to church two Sundays in a row and is really excited to learn!

We are so blessed and I know that Heavenly Father really is showing us those that are ready to receive the gospel! I love this work and I love you all! I hope that you all are doing well :) thank you for your prayers and support! Sorry I will send pictures next week :)

Love,

Crazy Fun Week :)

rain day!

REZ DAY!!!

Got stuck with the mail :)

You are beautiful inside! AWE THANKS :D

Random Dryer :D haha

Tangelo :)

Girls on fire with the Book of Mormon!

So this week was the funnest week ever!! So eventful, so you might want to take some time reading this one :) and more pictures will be sent! I love you all and hope you have the best week ever! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALISON AND RANDY!!!

Tuesday: Today was really exciting :) First big rain storm!!! It was so much fun to bundle up, grab our umbrellas and head out tracking for the very first time! Knocking door to door is crazy! It was so much fun :) I jumped in puddles and man it was so great :) I loved every minute of it! People were so nice, and we found a few investigators from it! We went tracting for 2 hrs in the rain and only one that let us in was this really nice family that didn't speak English :) so we sat and talked with them, and then they wanted to take our picture with their dog because the dog loved us so much! haha it was interesting trying to communicate, so we sent the information to the Spanish Elders haha :) later we found out that they said that they never talked with missionaries....dumb! any who after that we had a few lessons and then we had dinner and then Cara came out with us! She is a young woman in the ward and she is a life saver! She drove us....on the REZ :D Yes the Indian Reservation! We taught a less active member and she was so sweet! We hope that some day we will find investigators there!

Wednesday: RAIN RAIN RAIN!!! :D So much fun in the rain :D we went tracting again and still jumped in puddles :) good thing I have great rain boots :) Cara went out with us again and we taught Desirea. I love her! She is married to a less active member and she is just so chill! We talked with her for a while then we shared with her a video done by Uchdorf about our potential. It talks about a man that goes on a cruise ship :) watch it, it is good :) We talked about how we need to pray and ask God what we can do better, and what the next step is. Heavenly Father knows what we can become, but we need to ask him what we need to do. It was so great!

Thursday: There are so many random things happen in San Jacinto haha :) We ran and taught Kenny (an investigator) last min, but it went really great! He asked questions about how he could more effectively study. We told him to pray before reading. Then we went to get a frosty at Wendy's! Then we walked and bought some lemons and oranges :)

Friday: we road our bikes everywhere! We had a lesson set up with a part-member family and our bishop was coming, but that fell through and that is when we saw a dryer on the side of the road! haha so great! We went and visited a cute little lady name Sister Goodbaudy :) she is 91 years old! I love her! She gave us a tangelo :) They are really good :) haha then we were kinda stressed because we didnt have a ride to our car, so we called our ward mission leader Bro. Stegeman. and he had to make a trip to the store for dog food before he could drop us off. so when we got to the store....it was a TRACTOR STORE!!! awe it was amazing!!! I didn't buy anything, but it was still fun to go in! haha oh yeah and the best part of the day....before we left for the apartment I put all of our letters in the door so that we wouldn't forget to mail them. When it was time to get leave we were stuck in our apartment HAHAH!! I was laughing so hard! Sister Pielstick was not very pleased with me :) haha it was so funny! Then we also taught a powerful lesson with new investigators named Royce and Natasha. Man that was so great! But they didn't come to church.

Saturday: We taught a group lesson with Cody and our District Leader. It went so great! Cody has special needs and we were really nervous that he would have to be interviewed by our mission president! But during the interview it went so great! Our district leader is the best! we also had dinner with the Jordan's and that was so great! We went and taught a less active family then they drove us to Bro. Stegeman's. and then Sister Greenman came and picked us up. It was crazy night! We were waiting outside for Sister Greenman and we didn't want Bro. Stegeman to find out, so we walked down the street and waited for Sister Greenman, but she came a different way! So we ran to her car and yelled saying don't knock on Bro Stegemans door! Because he would have been so upset! and we barely made it! So close! I poured water all down my arm and I almost lost my shoe and it was so funny! I was dying!

Sunday: We met with a 7th day Advents and he was being very stubborn....we gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it! We will see where it goes. He also fed us pizza! Then we had dinner...it took a little long, but it was great! Then Sister Dubski came out with us! She was so nervous to come out with us! But she loved it in the end :) Then we had to practice singing in our little choir for Elder Hamula of the Seventy who came Monday!

Monday: We met with Elder Hamula from 8:30-4:00 :) it was so long, but so great! It really helped me focus on my purpose as a missionary, and how I constantly need to repent and turn toward Christ! I know that I make so many mistakes, and there are things that I need to change. Repentance is not this great moment in time that only happens once. It happens every day! Elder Hamula said that we all need let go and turn towards Christ. As long as we are working towards repentance we are repenting. There is so much more I wish I had time to share will you all, but time is short. In the end I want to leave with you my testimony of how our Savior was sent here so that when we go see our Heavenly Father we can stay with Him! I love being a missionary and I can't wait to see how next week will be :)

I love you all and I hope that you all have a great week!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! LENGUA TACOS!!!

This week was really weird and really short...so yeah haha :)

Last Monday: Was the craziest Monday of my life! By the end of unpacking and dinner...we were so tired....I really just wanted to take a nap! Im just glad it is over and that we live in a really nice place. It is just Sister Pielstick and I now so it is quieter. Which is good :) But it was fun to have roommates for the first time ever :)

Tuesday: I really just feel like I haven't gotten a hold of life yet, but that's okay :) We went out and did the work! We walked for a long time....tried a few less actives and then we went to a lesson which went okay. Cody is really great! He tries so hard. Then we had dinner with the Tanner family. Which was amazing! Their son was home from the Navy with his girlfriend. We shared the new Christmas video with them called "A world without a Savior" The whole time the  girlfriend was just listening to us with wide eyes and she really seemed interested in what we were saying! I hope that some day she finds the gospel in her life and is able to join the church :) Then later that night we did some service, and got some free clothes :) Well Sister Pielstick got free clothes because there is no way that I was going to fit in size 3 pants! haha

Wednesday: We taught Kenny who we have been teaching on and off now for a few weeks. When we came he told us that he needed a new copy of The Book of Mormon because his cousins hid the last one from him....I was really upset! He really wanted to read! So we gave him another copy and I hope he reads it! We then tried some less actives and then had to make a doctors appointment. No worries not for me :) it was just a check up for Sister Pielstick. A member came and picked us up and then we got ice cream because we needed a pick-me-up. then we walked....and walked...and then we met a family that seems really promising! Can't wait to go back there next week!

Thursday: This day was really a joke....we had DDM for only an hour and a half, and I learned something amazing....are you ready for this......There is a new Elder by the name of Elder Thacker....some of you may know him because well he is from HOOPER!!! WHAT!!! WE were talking and he knows a lot of people I know and he even went shooting in our back yard! WHAT!!!!! I got so excited :) It was a great time! Then we went to a Bob Davis Lunch that took 3 hours!! THEN We planned for 3 HOURS!!! Then it was time for dinner which was so much fun they gave us games to play because it was new years eve, and then we went to the stake center and played games.

Friday: We had to clean until around 10 in the morning. Every new years day we do a deep clean which went great! then we got studying and then we went to work walking and talking for 2 hours :) Then we taught a part member family and they promised to come to church :) The member of the family came to church!!

Saturday: We tried LENGUA tacos (tongue tacos) and Tripas tacos (milk intestine tacos) and Cabeza tacos (neck and head tacos) I couldn't handle the Tripas....it looked too much like intestines....but the Lengua was good :) and now I know how to cook tongue so dad no need to through out the tongue! It tastes really good and it takes about 2 hours to cook....maybe three....but I will cook it when I get home :) also tongue costs like $20 a tongue! WHAT!!! crazy stuff :) we went walking and then we stopped at  a few less actives....and the Sister Pielstick didn't feel well. We went to dinner, but she didn't eat anything...so we came home early and she fell asleep as we were planning....poor thing...then Sister Mullen (mission president's wife) Called us and told us that we had to stay home from church....

Sunday: I about lost my mind! I should have found team ups or something! any who I started to study, but then my brain hurt after about an hour and a half (Isiah is really hard to understand....) then I honestly don't remember what I did...but I do remember that I tried to make Ice cream :) It tasted really good too! But We didn't have ice...so I just put it in the freezer! I'm excited!

Monday: I was so excited to get out :) It was so great! :) It is great to hear from all of you, and I hope all is going well. I know that I am meant to be here serving a mission. I LOVE THE WORK!!!

Love ya'll
