Wow what a fast/slow/crazy/uneventful week! (you will see what I mean) I know that my Father in Heaven Loves me!
Okay so Monday recap: Sister Mullen called and told me to rest....so I did.....until Thursday...I couldn't take it any more!!! Any who I slept most of Monday...not very fun...
Tuesday: This day was full of...stuff....haha so I did not feel well. Our home share had her family moving in. They have a cute baby boy that is about 18 months old. SO CUTE (he loves girls :) I knew that I wouldnt get much rest at the house because they were moving boxes oh and they brought 3 dogs. We do have our room, but it wasn't very sound proof... So we went to the church. The church is freezing! I tried to rest, but it just wasnt happening. We knew that Sister Peel (member of the ward) had an extra couch we could sleep on. (We were hoping that she would be our new home share) We called her and she said to come on over and it just so happened that the Missionary Housing people were coming over to look at the house and see if we could move in! So we were there when they were and...we moved in two hours later...haha it was crazy! I wasn't aloud to go back and pack my stuff because they didn't want the baby to get sick! So They threw all of our stuff in suitcases and bags and boxes....It is good to be living with the Peel Family. I love them so much!
I also got a priesthood blessing by some of the Elders in our Zone. I really needed a blessing not only for being sick, but also for comfort. I needed to know that the Lord was pleased with what I was doing. I wanted so desperately to know that me being sick and sleeping was okay! Because being sick is the HARDEST THING on a mission. However I learned many things, But most importantly I learned how to love being a missionary. For the first transfer I thought about home a lot! I would think about each and everyone of you every day! It seemed hard for me to focus sometimes. When I was sick all I could think about was the people in our area! The people we were teaching and how I wanted to go teach them! I needed that more than ever!
Wednesday: I slept and unpacked...oh and an investigator dropped us... :( saddest day ever! William was awesome, but the Lord has a plan for him!
Thursday met with Hailey's MOM!!!!!! It was awesome! We are still hoping that she get's baptized this Friday! The Lord will find a way if it was what she is meant to do! I love her so much!
Friday: We had a Zone Meeting and we talked about how important it is to drop people! At first I was like wait what!! We need to be focusing on the people that the Lord has prepared for Baptism. There are so many people that arent ready to hear the gospel! So we have to focus on the people who are ready to hear it. We also picked up a new investigator! She told us that she had been praying to god for guidance, and then we showed up! BAM!! she knew that God sent us! Her name is Latisha. She lost a son in Iraq fighting for our country. She is so sweet!
Saturday: We met with Hailey and all is ready to go for her baptism. We just need to have her mom giver her permission. After Hailey we went and got ice cream because we needed the sugar rush...we taught our few appointments and we even did our back up plan! But then what...we drove around..prayed...drove.....prayed.....then we met Beverly! She is the funniest Lady every! She has to be in her 70's she has cancer, but loves Heavenly Father and prays to him. She doesn't go to church, but she is willing to talk with us :)
Sunday: Church was great we got to teach the Gospel Principles class. So much fun! we taught on Serves (kinda perfect for a missionary right). After that we tried to meet with Less actives that werent in church. we at dinner with the Chonka Family. Man...she can cook! I ate so much! But it was worth it!
Well We are done with one transfer! I can't believe it! I almost started to cry...I only have 12 transfers left...I dont want to leave San Jacinto....the Lord knows best though!
Love you all!
